Great afternoon’s entertainment
My 7 year old son loved making this. I would say that this product is suitable for 7+ rather than 5+, as he still found it quite tricky to slot together despite understanding the instructions. There’s no mess as no glue required, and it’s great that it uses recycled plastic for the clips, and they can be reused. My only slight criticism is that you can’t make all 3 helmets at the same time, as there aren’t enough clips. You can buy additional clips separately, but it could perhaps be made more clear.

Great activity to do together
This is such a good idea to get boys interested in craft! My son loved it but needed a little help - great activity to do together. Good quality crafts with clear instructions. Will make a great stocking filler!

Brilliant fun!
Well made, had lots of fun with our 6 year old. Which kid doesn’t love a hat! 100% recommend

Interesting idea but the clips are flimsy
So the concept of this is you cut the pieces from the carboard, colour them in and then use the clips to create different halmet designs. However, the clips are quite flimsy and difficult to use, my daughter got really frustrated by how difficult it was to build the halmet and gave up completely. It's kind of complicated for me as an adult let alone a 3 year old

Fantastic creative fun set and a great price!!!
Fantastic creative art set for children...and adults ;) LOL I love this...you open the box, cut out the shapes, clip together with the clips included and then colour them in and run around the house being a space commander!!! You not only get a superb fun activity for the whole family... everything, including the box, can be recycled for when you need to throw them away...Saying that though, the cardboard is of very good quality, and the clips are plastic, so this should last months. The only downside is that you can only make and wear one hat at a time due to the number of clips...PLEASE ADD MORE FOR EVERYONE TO PLAY AT ONCE ;) This is a super box full of fun and is ideal as a gift, a stocking filler, an indoor activity when it is wet outside, a birthday party craft game, a family activity, a homeschooling art session, or even a history and dressing up day...Brilliant and 3 different hats in one box and all for £6.99!!! I love this, you can hear that, right? ;) LOL

Disappointed
This set is disappointing, especially for the price. The set comes with enough card to make 3 different headpieces however there is not enough clips to make all 3 at once. There is no media included with the set (pens, paints etc) in order to colour the pieces in. £9 for a few pieces of card and clips seems quite steep. Wouldn't recommend.

Time to play pretend!
In many ways, this is a great concept - letting children make and colour in their own hats is a fantastic idea, not least because they can then play and let their imaginations run wild. However, things could be a bit better.First and foremost is the fact that the kit doesn't come with enough "magic corners" to build all three hats at once. It's perhaps a bit more of a shame that the box then recommends splashing out on a box of additional magic corners - which at £9.99, is more than the pack itself costs...Then, there's the sheets of card on which the hat-parts are printed. And these haven't been scored/die-cut; instead, the child (or suitable supervisor) is expected to cut out all of the shapes by themselves. In some ways, I can see the benefit of this; it does help to promote hand/eye coordination. On the other hand, it's a relatively laborious and time consuming activity, and - especially at the younger end of the range - children may well not be that accurate at cutting things out, which could then affect the construction of the hat. There's also the fact that if you were able to just push out the pieces, then you'd be left with a nice set of templates which could be used to make further hats from cereal boxes and the like, as is actually suggested on the box.Overall, while I still think this is generally a good product, I can't help but think that it could have been better!

Great fun activity for wet afternoon
This kit comes with everything you need to make three helmets, a fire fighter, a space commander and a Viking although not all at the same time but after reading all the sales information I found a sentence saying that you can purchase some of the JUNKO Box o Magic corners from the JUNKO store on Amazon. There is no glueing needed (so no sticky mess) to put these helmets together as you use the above mentioned Magic corners. It says these kits are suitable for ages 5 - 11 but the younger ones will probably need help with the cutting and the clipping on of the Magic corners until they get used to it.The kit is made from FSC sustainable cardboard and the the Magic corners are made from recycled plastic so a fairly eco - friendly craft kit.The kit includes 11 card templates, 18 Magic corner clips, a helmet fact sheet and easy instructions.Once you have all the card cut I think it would probably be better to do your colouring rather than waiting until you have put it together. When you have built your helmet you can colour it if you haven’t already done so and then you can play using your imagination.A reasonably priced fun craft kit.
