I bought this as a Christmas present for a grandson aged 8. I am not sure that it was a great success as it reminded him of School projects but I would say it was age relevant.

What extras would you recommend giving with this ? Type of paper ? Glue ? Essentials ?

You don’t need anything extra to do these activities. Maybe some kids scissors, but from memory we didn’t need anything extra.
