Sentry Safe CB-8 Small Cash Box

This box is small, relatively lightweight, and appears to be well constructed. We did not purchase it to hold cash and that may be a good thing. It is small enough to be easily picked up and hidden but a less-than-honest person. But, if you will be monitoring the box I see no reason to not recommend it.What we did buy it for was to lock up and safeguard my mother-in-law's medicines. After reaching the point where she can not remember if she had taken her medications we hired a service to visit her daily and see that she does take them. The only problem was that she kept telling them she already had taken them, but could not remember when or where she had put the empty pill packet with that day's med. They suggested a lockable box with them maintaining control of the key.It has worked wonderfully. She tried to jimmy the lock open one day with a nail file and could not. I wouldn't want to see what she might do with a brick, but for now it solidly keeps things "safe."One final thing. She does not like small black things so we painted it red for her (Krylon outdoor paint works very nicely but takes a full 24-hours to completely dry). I tried to mask off the product name on the front of the lid, but once I pulled off the blue painter's take, a few of the letters came off as well.

I used it for small miscellaneous items. It’s the perfect size for what I use it for. Highly recommended.

I purchased this cash box in order to store money for a talent show. As people bought tickets, we would put the money in the box. Having two keys was useful in case someone lost the main key, I would have a spare. The cash box is heavy duty and it arrived promptly.Pros:SturdySpare keyCons:No separation for different bills.

Its an excellent lock box for the price. If you want something fancier that latches when it shuts, then you'll need to pay more. But I have to ask... why would you want to get in the habit of not locking this when you're carrying it around? The lid stays closed, you just need to latch it with the key before you pick it up by the handle. Not a big deal.

This has to be the absolute best small cash box out there !!it is built like a Sherman Tank ---good heavy Gage steelwith a real functional lock with key, and chrome handle. I like it because it's small and light, but as soon as it gets shaken around, the coins get tossed all around. The top may be too small for the case (I don't know if this is normal for cash boxes, though).

It's small, but serves its purpose well. It is well-built and is able to hold my checkbook, passport, old credit cards, etc. with some space to spare.

Love this product. I'm able to lock up my valuables and the size and light weight of the security safe make it easy to fit into a secure place

Really solid, thick metal. Lock works great. Strong handle. What's not to like? Well, one small thing you should know. You HAVE to lock it to pick it up by the handle. If you don't, the contents will dump. There is no latch to hold the lid closed unless it is locked. If you never forget to lock it before you pick it up, you will be happy. I've only dumped the contents once, but hopefully after spending 10 minutes chasing coins around, I won't forget that again!

I picked this easily myself in a half a minute or so, but it's good enough to keep little hands away from any brownies or gummybears that aren't meant for them. Good enough to slow down a would- be thief enough to deter theft (unless they steal the whole box of course.)

I use this in my office and I like that it is small to put in my desk but yet hold everything I require it to. I empty it every night so I don't have to worry about it filling up to fast.

Have been using this in my small business for over a year and am very pleased with it. The lock and key is still in superb condition and the whole thing is nice and sturdy. Would recommend

It's small, light and yet sturdy. The plastic compartments inside are perfectly sized and very durable. I would definitely buy it again.
