Lufkin Shockforce G2 Nite Eye 25-ft Autolock Tape Measure- L1225BAL-02

Feels solid, appears well made, tape is stiff enough to extend at least 6 feet. Large numbers on a black field are very appreciated by old eyes. The easy on clip appreciated by old, arthritic hands. The back side of the tape has the numbers in the vertical position; especially useful when working with a builders level or at a distance. The through hole in the corner of the case allows it to be used to draw basic large circles or arcs. Same hole can be used to tie it to your belt when working on a ladder, roof, in the cross trees, similar. Heavy but nothing to do about that in a durable steel tape. Instantly became my favorite when not measuring a muffin pan.

I have been using the non-auto lock version of this rule for a couple of years and like it very much. This one is also 25 feet, but larger and heavier than my prior one. The auto lock takes some getting used to - pretty much works opposite of other tapes, but so far I like it. The rule is marked on both sides of the tape and the contrasting colors and large numbers are super easy to read. Overall build quality is excellent and great value for the price.

Great tape measure but within a day I had 2 creases from bending. Does not affect performance but a little annoying

If Lufkin could make tape measures that didn't start having issues after a few days, they'd have some of the best on the market... Sadly I've had awful luck with them having retraction and lock issues after the first week or two of use.Now, with that being said, the tape is so good that it's still pretty good after the issues start. The reach is good, and the button retraction can be nice at times. (Even if it won't always retract by its self.)Really, the only reason it's getting 3 stars from me is because the marks are so readable. I really with more tapes would use that printing.

Since Lufkin added line lock not auto retract these are hands down thee best over ANY tape on the market. 100% winner for life.

I have the first generation tape measure that has a tiny tear on the blade. Believing that it might break at any moment, I decided to get the second generation. This second generation model is much bigger and heavier. This is probably the biggest tape measure that I have ever owned. Even bigger than the Stanley Fatmax! The blade is a lot stronger, and seems that it may be more durable. This tape measure is normally on lock so the blade will not retract unless you hold down the button. The button feels snappy and durable. I am happy with this product. But I wish it was the same size and weight as the previous generation.The only downside to this product is the belt clip. It's flimsy and opens up often. It should have been sturdier to compensate for the size and weight of the tape measure.

This was ordered as Xmas gift and shipping was delayed which did not allow cancellation with no new delivery date allowed. I had to buy another item in order to have for Xmas, so returned duplicate item when I finally received after new years

Great tape measure bit the rivets on the end piece are too big/have sharp edges, kept catching on the board causing inaccurate measurements

I received this tape two months ago. I work 5 days a week, working highrise concrete forming. The numbers have already worn off. The tape lock is not working not longer. I wouldnt waste your time with it
