Arrived promptly. Looks to be a good solid lock. Easy to use with a decent motorbike chain.

Britanium® BRX/66 [Armoured] High Security Container Padlock - [Heavy Duty] - [Anti Drill Cylinder] - Also Ideal Motorbike, Shed & Garage Lock (5 Keys)This is a very well made, heavy and reasonably secure padlock. It comes with 5 keys if you are the sort of person who loses keys. I have not tried to saw or cut the padlock but I will trust the specifications in this case. It is similar if not the same as ones used to secure shipping containers and similar from what I can make out.The padlock has several anti-tamper features such as a shrouded lock with an extra steel cover over it, and cover over the key hole to make drilling the lock out harder.It is expensive for a padlock and I note there are several copies of this type of lock at cheaper prices, but I am not sure that they will be of the same quality and heft that this one is.

Nice lock,seems strong as hell,heavy chunk, should be really durable in my opinion.

I trust ABUS and SQUIRE that have high insurance ratings, made in Europe and are names I have know for many years. Perhaps placing this padlock in a comparison with similar shaped locks from ABUS, there is a considerable difference in price. A similar ABUS lock will cost you over £110, the Britanium costs £32. That should give you an idea where to position it in the market (although there is talk of the same lock selling for about £10 !) Clearly if you want to protect something valuable look at ABUS.BRITANIUM was a new name but certainly gave the impression it was a British product. NO IT IS NOT !There is a GB on the box to add to the “slight of hand” of the name but this padlock was made in China !It is quite heavy and looks secure but it does not have the quality look and finish expected. I am sure it will deter the casual thief who is unlikely to have the time to try to break it.It is cut from a single piece of steel and has a horizontal 12mm hasp so if you are going to use one, make sure it will fit. It comes with 5 keys but strangely there is no makers mark/logo and no reference number.I think for personal use it will go on the shed and act as a lock and a deterrent. It is too heavy and large for the gate.It is listed as a “container padlock” but unless things have changed, we used single use seals and if padlocks were used they were much bigger than this one.I am sure it will be useful for domestic use but I do find it alarming that an item made in China can carry a (registered) name that says “Britain” and has GB on the front and back of the box. Surely someone should have done something about that as it is misleading.

The area to lock is too small and can't fit on my metal container.
