Good zapper does takes care of the pest. I've bought a few before in the past but this one works the best.

First time buying a double-sided zapper. It covers much bigger area than the lamp style ones. Enjoying the frequent zapping sounds at sunset time.

As I said, These zappers are great at zapping bugs at first. I bought 2 of them. Buy when the bulbs burn out, then they do not work anymore. I will not buy this brand again. My old zapper is on it’s forth set of Bulbs and still working great.

I have 3 of these so far and will probably get more. The remote is nice, but I find myself just leaving them on all the time in the spring and summer. Really controls house flies and mosquitoes in the house. Bulbs last about a year. Not for the outside.

After shopping around and trying out a few lights, this one was the winner. We needed something to help us with the flies and gnats living in the trash can we have in the garage. This light certainly helped us mange with this issue and we noticed a significant difference. We've worked the light hard, having it almost constantly on and locatesd in a the non-temperature controlled garage that can get over 100 degrees in the summer and drop into freezing temperatures in the winter. The light is tough and durable. The accompanying brush was good for quick maintenance. Having the slip out tray made it quick and easy to throw away zapped bugs. The case is solid. Downside is that sometimes bigger bugs like moths get zapped, and sometimes get stuck. Like other zippers, they fried a bit, causing a smella nd loud noises. I usually turned the light off if I knew I would be away from the house for a while. It can be on the loud side when it zaps, but I think most industrial zippers do. The other big factor to consider is changing out the bulbs. Maybe I should have kept the instructions and original box handy. After some home remodels, the box with replacement bulbs was MIA. So, I had to look for different replacements. I was impressed that the original bulbs lasted as long as they did. The purple top one went out after a few months, but the white bottom one lasted over a year with lots of hard use. Keep the replacements handy. I hope the alternative replacements work just as well. Another downfall: I have to reassemble the zapper since I took it apart to get the old buls out, but at least, it's clean again! Hopefully, it's just as effective.

I live not far from the sea, and every time I plug this in it makes the biggest racket. It’s almost as though flies are being zapped every microsecond, but the reality is that the fly is defective. I do not recommend this product if you’re looking for a quiet fly zapper. In a humid environment, the components are likely to rust, which causes the machine to make loud zapping noises.

Used this Bug Zapper to rid ourselves of yellow jacket nest in our outdoor siding.Worked very well. Parked the zapper where the yellow jackets were going in and out.Reset the zapper over this location for several days and it appears to have killed all the yellow jackets.
