Made of soft metal. Stripped threads and Snapped bolt
I pre-drilled a 1/4" hole as instructed. First bolt stripped the threads and second attempt snapped the bolt. You would think a self tapping bolt would be hardened and very hard to snap. I was able to drill out the center of the bolt fairly easily. I'll be looking for a different bolt.

Great product and a good price too. I am confident they will hold up!! Installed on 26ft camper. Drilled the holes with the suggested bit size. I put some serious to torque on these bolts and didn’t snap a single one. I would highly recommend

Bought these because I bought a Harbour Frieght sway bar and the cheap Chinese screws didn't work that came with the kit. Since I already had the holes drilled it took me 5 minutes to put them all in and not one issue.

On thin gauge metal they would be fine.
The screws stripped when I torqued them in. I was hoping for a better performance.
