Hidden gem
Blues. Folk. Country. Soul. All styles are gratefully accepted by Don Cooper as long as he gets to add to them his own brand of funkiness. This is an album which will have you hypnotised by the second listen and buying it for friends by the third. Great song-writing, great playing and just enough nods towards the leftfield to never quite let you settle and grow too familiar, no matter how many consecutive spins it may receive. You will not, nay - cannot, be disappointed.
