A simple but incredible connector
I bought 12 sets of your connectors and at first I was so disappointed that my 12g mainline didn't fit into the gray slot. But, I thought, why not crimp the outside wire coating with a pliers to flatten it enough to slip into the connector channel. It worked like a charm. I have now installed my backyard lighting using your simple and brilliant connectors. The job was a breeze. I'm sending the Moonray connectors back to Amazon. Thanks for this amazing and incredibly simple connector.

NOT usable on 16GA wire!
I like the idea of this connector but the claim that this is usable for 16ga outdoor wiring is, to put it politely, a total fabrication. Sure, if you take a pair of pliers and virtually crush the insulation flat, the slot in the connector MIGHT fit over the feed wire. If you have 18Ga feed wire, great, these will work well for you. If you have 16ga wire with outdoor wiring thick insulation (not interior, but exterior which is what these are intended for) these are a major pain to install. I won't buy these again.

Win the bad connection war!
If you have battled with those little black and grey connectors for your Malibu, and the like type lights, over the years like I have, you'll love these. While they, and their yellow cousins are very pricey, they work great. After thirty years of struggling to get a good connection, it is worth it to pay a little extra for these little guys. Very easy to work with, they are easy to hook up, and so far, have let the love light shine!

Worked exactly how I had hoped.
I was one like many here who has the defunct landscape lighting product that you cannot buy and so I purchased the current brand product and it has a newer power connector that is terrible so I looked for what else I could use and found this product. Using the detailed instructions listed here I was able to get these to work and work on the first try, no need to reconfigure or adjust which is nice! The reason for a 4 star vs a 5 star is the plastic is not strong at all and I was worried that even after crimping and adjusting these things would break and I could see the strain on them as I clamped down and while it worked I just did not have great confidence in the strength of the plastic. On a different note not related to the rating, the time it took to receive the product was too long, for this size of package the difference in faster shipping has to be considered.

Great Replacement Connectors
My landscape lighting is about 6 years old. And every now and then I need to replace the plastic connectors. I hate using those things because I find them difficult to install, hard to press into the wiring and they loosen up just enough that the light goes out. This was my first time using the SRRB cable connector. The instructions were simple and precise. I did need to pinch the main wires with pliers before they would fit into the gray cap but once I did that, everything fell into place. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Vice grips are the answer
Installed 5 low voltage pagoda lamps (Orbit fixtures, Malibu transformer, Malibu / Brinkmann cable) today and loved working with these connectors. Followed the suggestion I saw somewhere to use vice grips when compressing the 16 ga cable to fit into the grey cap. Clamped the grips on, waited about 30 seconds, removed and quickly slipped on the grey cap. No problem. Shot a bit of non-corrosive silicon into each joint to help seal things. Note: take care when screwing caps on as they like to cross-thread. Whenever that happened, I unscrewed and tried again and they always went on right the second time.

Way TOO SMALL for normal landscape wiring - 14 or 12 gauge - Malibu lights.
The product description should say this is only for very THIN 16 gauge wire. The instructions say to heat the wire and "SMASH" it flat with pliers to make it fit. This is a terrible idea and the connectors were NEVER designed for thick direct burial wire.Order the YELLOW thicker connectors. These work perfectly fine with Malibu or any other lights using 14 or 12 gauge direct burial wire.

More time and more money that waterproof wire nuts with reliability issues
These are NOT 5 minute connections. I found it took at least 3 times as long as a normal waterproof wire nut. Even 16 gauge wire required squishing with pylers to fit. Also they are INCREDIBLY flakey. I've had to "fix" these multiple times because they keep shorting the line. Tomorrow I'm replacing ALL of these with waterproof wire nuts like I had at beginning and end of my line just to be rid of a constant source of failure. To top it off these cost WAY more than the wire nuts. If you had already run the line and had no slack maybe there is a place for this product, but this isn't buried yet because of the lack of reliability
