Denco QUICKCHGROLLE Garage Door Ultra-Quick Roller, Change/Replacement Tool

At first I was skeptical about the price and usefulness of these tools. They are expensive and are only useful for specialized jobs. That being said, they haved saved me on at least 5 jobs that would have taken longer and many other tools. They are especially helpful on door removal. The roller insert tool has been handy over the last 2 days for doors that are out of their track. I would recommend these tools only for garage door professional and not for individuals that will only use them once on their own door.

I used the tool to change out all the door wheels on my two car garage door and it only took about seven minutes for me to do it. The price seems a bit steep but they do work as advertised. I had never replaced the rollers on a garage door before and had no problems using this tool set.

I bought this tool to aid in the replacement of the door rollers on my Wayne Dalton hurricane level garage door; I live in Florida so these types of doors are necessary in order to put up with high winds during hurricanes. This tool may be useful on older garage doors or with tracks not made in the last few years, but the tracks my garage door is on were too tight and narrow to allow for the rollers to move out and in with ease; I did everything the way they showed in their video and nothing worked properly and it ended up damaging one of my rails.On top of it, my garage door has an added tension pulley that attaches to the bottom of the garage door by wire. You cannot move, wedge or realign the bottom roller due to the wire attached to the tension pulley, and any attempt to do so only damages the roller.At this point I have no choice but to call the company that installed my garage door 2 years ago and have them replace the rollers AND repair the track that was bent in the process of trying to use these tools. I'm returning this item so I can put the money spent on it towards the cost of having a professional come and address this issue.

I watched the Denco video on youtube, the man did not mention that a 16ft door would probably not go as easy as the 8ft door in his video.

Ok, I watched Denco's YouTube video and they make it look easy as pie. Popping out the old roller was easy. It was installing the new roller that was the challenging part. I ordered the high quality 6200ZZ Ultra-Life nylon rollers on Amazon and I destroyed three of them trying to pop them back into the track (see pic). The nylon roller catches the edge of the track and digs in, causing it to pop off the roller bearing hub. The two I managed to install had the nylon rollers pop out, but only slightly, so I was able to persuade them back onto the bearing hub after they were in the track. Steel rollers may work better with the tool but I chose nylon as I prefer their quieter operation. I'm thinking I need to have a thin slippery plastic sheet between the track's edge and the side of the nylon wheel, or perhaps grease up the side of the wheel, so it slides into the track better with less friction. I still have my second garage door to do, so I'll report back to see if that works any better.Denco, if you're reading this, do you have any tips for nylon rollers so they don't get thrashed when popping them back in with the tool?Also, please provide some cushioning in your shipping box. Both tools were wrapped together with stretch wrap film and placed in a cardboard box with no additional paper/bubble wrap/peanuts, etc to keep them from bouncing around. When I received the package, one of the beveled edges of the lever tool punched a hole through the box and was sticking out. Could have hurt someone or caused damage during transit.

I replaced all the rollers in my garage door in less than 15 minutes. Now my door is quiet at a mouse! I have also changed the rollers for my in-laws. Which keeps them quiet about me. Totally worth the price!

This was not an Ultra Quick product at least with my garage. I viewed Denco's You Tube instruction and pulling the existing wheels was not as easy as described. Installation was as difficult. I had to use a mallet to get the nylon wheels along with the installation tool to get the wheel back in its track.
