Good product, ideal for large rooms
As an allergy sufferer, Spring through to Autumn can often be uncomfortable at night due to pollen. I’m also allergic to various other things (house dust, animals etc), so often suffer the allergic effects any time of the year.A good Air purifier can certainly help. I say ‘good’ since there are some frankly dubious ones around, the clue being the very low price! This is clearly a ‘proper’ one, stats and data being truly impressive. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world (but not that bad), but is very well-made, and nice and quiet in operations (night setting being virtually silent). Unlike some though, there is no PM level display, but there is for humidity, as well as salt / water level alerts, as well Disinfect status, speed, timer, and filter replacement warning. This device works really well, and the air VERY noticeably fresh (almost clinical) smelling after around 5 – 10 minutes in our kitchen (which is quite large (21’ x 14’6”). The filter is easy to remove / replace. However, in keeping with other similar, the filter itself is of a plasticky finish, which I’m pretty certain can be washed – I’ll find when the time comes. I could find no information regarding filter changing frequency, but on the Aera website it shows as 6 months or when the alert indicates. However, the price of a replacement filter is a penny under SIXTY QUID!!!! No way!One glaring omission is around the humidity levels, bearing mind this is a humidifier as well as purifier. Much as I want to purify the air, I certainly don’t want to humidify – I have no need. The air in our house never drops below a level (generally between 45 – 55%) where moisture needs putting into the air. There should be a setting to enable a level beyond which, it doesn’t humidify – like every other humidifier I’ve tried. Also, the requirement for Non-Iodised salt. It would have been helpful for the instructions to give some clue as to what that actually means, and some guidance accordingly. As it is, I had to research, but found Himalayan Rock Salt (which we use), falls into that category.Overall, this is a super product that works really well - Quiet in operation etc too. However the humidity level issue and filter costs are a big factor, and therefore I’ve reluctantly down-rated to 4 stars. If you are a severe sufferer, then you’ll likely find these point not really important, this working that well, otherwise it might put you off. Decent (albeit very light in detail( instructions, but more detail online via the QR code.I hope this has been helpful

Spot on
This air purifier is absolutely fantastic! The other members of the house wants to keep heating on almost all the time, which means dry air for the entire house. We have used this hydrating air purifier in my bedroom for the past weeks, and I can feel the difference! My dry skin has improved so much and my dry nose too.I also have a cat in my room, with the air purifier smells so fresh!I cannot recommend this enough. It also looks stylish and modern.Note you need to add water and non-irondized salt to the machine. There are 3 different speed settings, the 1st one is a night setting where the light is off and runs very quietly - like a fan white noise (that I need to sleep anyway). The other two settings are slightly more noticeable but nothing you will hear over the sound of the tv for example.Very impressed with this mini version!

Main cap came loose
So far I'm very disappointed. My unit arrived and upon lifting the main "cef lid" the cap covering the centre had come detached. Initially I assumed this was part of the cef lid but upon further inspection of the manual I realise this smaller cap was meant to be fixed on, allowing for the larger lid to twist and lock on.As a result I am unable to test. I will be contacting customer services and updating this review accordingly. As of right now the unit is unusable. Also should you use the air purifier option you will need non-iodised salt also - an extra cost.
