The Spirit to Serve Marriott's Way

A little outdated but still a good read.

This is a book that every entrenpurenure should read. I also think that each person in elected office should be required to read this book so that they hopefully would get the message. They seek office to serve the people but end up severing themselves.

I bought this for a homework assignment and actally dell in love with the book. I also learned some business strategies which was very helpful!

I was disappointed with this purchase, only because I was looking for a history of the Marriott family and the development of the chain. However, this is a book about the philosophy of Marriott service and a bit too "syrupy" for my taste. It's on the shelf and probably won't be read.

Great read, especially for the business owner (and hotel/motel owner/employee)They have stuck to their guidelines and made it through tough times. A wonderful family (the Marriotts) and grateful employees.Photos are very nice.An easy read, great reference book!

He ran a multi million pound international company so there must be words of wisdom in here! Great guidance for would be managers.

Interesting read about a scrupulous owner and how he made his name.

Wenn man aus der Hotelbranche kommt, will man so viel Details erfahren wie es nur geht. Natürlich ist das Leben bei der Konkurrenz auch etwas interessanter und man stellt dann Vergleiche an und sieht, wo es gut und wo es schlechter läuft. Auf alle Fälle bekommt man mit diesem Buch einen guten Einblick bei Marriott, auch wenn andere Hotelketten auch eine sehr interessante Geschichte haben.
