The Micro Cloud NVR is your private, online enabled CCTV recording system in a matchbox sized box that can be hidden on your own home WiFi network. Works just like an online service but with added benefits and no on-going fees. Exclusive to UCam247 security cameras. Unlike other recording systems there's no complex setup or fiddly hard drives to attach. Just insert a micro SD card, enter the details for the NVR into your cameras and off you go! Record motion triggered or even continuous full HD video, get alerts and playback remotely using our Free apps.A 128GB micro SD card, for instance, will typically record motion triggered video from your camera for weeks. Plus, with the built-in auto-overwrite system it will automatically delete the oldest clips and hence keep recording. To keep any clips for longer or perhaps forward to friends, family or indeed the Police just download from the NVR to your PC. Since the NVR records independently of your camera, if something should happen to the camera (e.g. stolen or vandalised) recordings will be safely stored on the NVR for you to review and download. If you have multiple cameras, you can record them all to the one NVR - saving on the cost of separate SD cards for each camera. What's more, unlike online service providers you get: Full HD Video recording. Up to 1 month of clips storage No account sign-up, service or storage fees No uploading to 3rd party online servers. You retain privacy over recordings. No recording delay or broadband slow-down. Box Contents: 1 x NVR, 1 x UK Power Supply (with 2m cable), 1 x Ethernet cable, 1 x Quick Install Guide. Want to know more? Visit the UCam247 website. NB: This device operates over mains power, not batteries. PSU included in box.

Works well (mostly)
Instead of using just the microSD in the camera I bought this for the network. Maybe it's my Windows10 setup that persistently drops the connection to this and the ucam247 indoor cameras. When it's working it's extremely good but, and it's a big but, one does need to have a reliable source for security purposes. Perhaps, as I say , this isn't the fault of this device but Microsoft who regularly with their updates alter settings on Windows pc's. I've checked online to see how to resolve these UCAM247 issues and have read that to avoid a dropped connection one needs to allot a static IP address. This I attempted to do but then halfway through the instructions it refers to entering a DNS address which you can get from the provider. Not being a church goer this left me none the wiser so I gave up on that. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has managed to remedy this issue.

Avoid - Unrealiable And Nothing But Problems
Bought this to go with the Ucam.Ucam works fine but thats all that does! The NVR instructions are not clear and not detailed enough so takes too long to set up or troubleshoot. Its so slow updating changes or recording footage and sometimes and can take minutes to register. Then, when I format the card sometimes, it stops recording to card even though the interface tells me all if set up ok.I am regularly having to do a NVR reset and start all over again..which can take an hour or so as is so slow and troublesome. When accessing the NVR and webcam interface through the internet its ok (but often very slow). The iphone and ipad app's are very poor. Live view does not always work and you cant playback footage often - even when you have the internet version open next to it and live view and play back are fine.Technical support is email only and takes at least a day or longer to respond. Then they just send excerpts of copy repeated from the limited set up guide and ask you to send a screenshot.I would say that the NVR works fine (eventually but not always) but is easily prone to stop working. Then takes a long time to set up again. The main problems appear to be with Ucam servers that are constantly slow to update settings or new video footage etc....then the ipad and iphone apps are very poor. This is my first home recording security system so i cannot compare to others...except to say all i do is spend hours trying to sort out problems and constantly reset the NVR so its a total waste of time having it.I would strongly suggest exploring other products...

Fraught with frustration.
This is not the easiest of things to set up. The instructions are basic, but lack a few significant features. More specifically, the SD card requires formatting, but this is not noted in the set up pathway. It is not mentioned until the trouble shooting tips. It would be helpful to know at what stage the card should be formatted. It is easy to confuse the SD card in the camera with the SD card in the NVR.The author of the instructions had a "good try", but, obviously did not road test them with a typical customer. It is difficult to check that the system is working, as you go along. Anyone who is short of time, and patience, will find the set-up fraught with frustrations. It took me six hours to complete the set-up for two cameras. However, they now work.Addendum. I changed the password from the default to my own, and now i can't access the device. GrrrrrrrrCredit where it is due. Email support from the manufacturer is excellent.Update 11th Oct. The system has failed. I cannot view either of the cameras or the NVR on my iPhone, despite having the app set up, and I am at home within a few feet of my router.I have revisited the instructions and re-set up the cameras and the NVR. All too no avail. The system is not working, and all the time-wasting fiddling about has not resolved the malfunction.Based on my present experience, I now regret installing this system, and consider it a waste of money, time and effort. I have down-graded my initial 3 stars to one star.

Reasonable
Plus points:- Very small so can be hidden in the home easily (conventional recorders are likely to be stolen by an intruder).- With a 128GB microSD card you can store many thousands of images.- Easy and quick set-up with UCam camerasNegative points:- No place for a re-chargeable battery so that if mains-power fails it continues (intruder can simply switch off your incoming supply to defeat the system)- Very slow access time to access the storage, so if you have thousands of images the only way to effectively search through them is to copy the complete contents off while on your home LAN.

Simple but clever solution for storage of security videos. Suddenly all my headaches with connection & access problems vanishe
I have been running a UCam247 set up for 12 months and although I have been impressed with the quality of the images and videos, storage issues has been a headache especially with accessing the cameras onboard micro SD cards with me experiencing cameras not able to find SD cards, stop recording after certain number of files saved but loads of space left on card, time consuming to delete files and slow downloads. The this NVR comes along and transforms storage for my wifi cameras in one simple package.- Very easy to set up- Very reliable and always connected- Very small and easily hid out of view from thieves- Doesn't take up any Ethernet ports from your router as it is wifi (temporarily needs connecting to router to set it up)- Firmware on NVR allows you to set up easily identifiable folders for each camera, play or download videos and select individual or all videos to delete. This is a simple solution to a techie headache ..... Love it!
