Battery Operated Ultrasonic Mole Repeller & Deterrent

Immediate results - I'd recommend and would use again.
I can't really fault it. I bought a house near some woods, and found lots of bottles embedded to about half their depth in the soil, left there by the previous owners. Asking around, it turned out that this was a strategy for repelling moles. Apparently the wind blowing across the top puts the moles off. Many of these bottles had cracked so over the past two years, I had been progressively removing them. A couple of months ago a whole bunch of molehills appeared in a flowerbed, right next to the lawn. I wanted fast results so I bought this battery powered sonic mole repeller. The instructions are obviously translated directly from chinese, and the battery size is unclear. In fact, it takes four huge D batteries. But having worked this out, I put them in and it started emitting a repeated buzzing sound. I then stuck it in the ground between molehills and garden boundary to encourage the little beastie to leave. It was difficult to know if it worked or not, but after a couple of weeks I went around and stamped down all the existing molehills (there were about 10). So far (a month later), nothing new has appeared so I am hoping that the mole has gone back to the woods. I would say this works. Come summertime I'll probably start putting empty wine bottles in the ground again as the buzzing sound is a little irritating, but will keep this device to repel any clear mole intrusions. It is plastic and simple, but it seems sturdy enough and I think it does the job.

This is no better or worse than most of the other 'mole blasters' ...
This is no better or worse than most of the other 'mole blasters' on the market. Sometimes the moles 'flee' sometimes they don't. However the trick with all these products is to get them deep enough into the ground. As these are quite flimsy, dont put any pressure on the top when pushing them into the ground - this can damage the sonic mechanism inside (a cause of much celebration among the moles and the showing of treacle - sorry molasses). Use an old or broken blaster to create the hole before inserting the new one - this will save you money - the broken one I use is the one that broke when I did apply too much pressure. Rechargeable D types last about 2 weeks at reasonable power. After that they are difficult to hear so need to be recharged.

The accompanying instructions are not great, the English is poor
It worked! Bought this repeller as my mother had a considerable mole-heap problem in her large lawn, adjacent to a field. Although my mother was initially reluctant - if not sceptical, I persuaded her to try the device. The accompanying instructions are not great, the English is poor, but the gadget is relatively obvious. I made a hole in the lawn, using a large screwdriver, as the repeller is a fair size ( only slightly smaller than a kitchen roll inner tube) and I didn't want to damage it pushing it into the ground. The diagram shows the lower fifth of the repeller below ground level, but I sank it in lower as the bleep was quite audible. The repeller bleeps regularly, so it could cause annoyance to neighbours. It would be better if it bleeped less often. The instructions advise purchasers to show perseverance and patience and allow for the device to take effect as creatures learn to avoid it. (make the association) Within 2 weeks, there was no further sign of mole activity. We left the device in situ for some time longer, to date no further - mole activity - we have removed the device since. Finally, the device takes 4 D type batteries, the top unscrews for access. Recommend.

Rat remover.
Be aware that this does NOT vibrate, it works on sound and is designed to rid of Rats from the location.Although I have a current Mole infestation, it is too soon to say if it works on Moles too, but I'm happy to keep it as I've put near my Chicken run to ward off the Rats from tunnelling under it. (I live in the countryside.)

No entry to Moles
This is an excellent deterrent for Moles. They stay away once they hear the high pitched sound. Thank goodness as they ruin a lawn with high piles of soil overnight. Excellent device, highly recommended.

Not great build quality
Bought 2. One stopped working after 1 week. Other has poor connections. The ones sent are not well made. Still too determine if they do work on the moles but I didn't realise when buying how noisy they would be. They Buzz every 29 seconds very audibly and if we were in the garden this would be quite annoying. We turn off the working one at weekend's so they don't annoy the neighbours.

Flimsy
Works fine, but body is flimsy when trying to insert into the ground and to replace batteries you need to withdraw from the ground
