Triumph Pre-Unit Twins (47 - 62) Haynes Repair Manual
M**C
To the usual Haynes standard
This is one of the earlier style manuals, therefore uses hard covers and a better quality of paper. The Haynes manual for my 2001 Triumph uses cheap paper, its more like newsprint than a book, so the photos dont reproduce as clearly- and the pages soil more readily, when you have oily hands! The older ones like this also tend to have more exploded parts illustrations, which is very helpful in figuring out what goes where!

Good clear manual.
Jeff Clew has written some of the better stuff on classic bike strip downs. Unlike some Haynes manuals which cover a number of models this one proves not to have the little niggles with photos and such that you might expect. The instruction is clear although a good grounding with experience of Triumphs does help. The Pre unit engine is not so bad. A good handy source of reference. Great to have a quick look over before you tackle a bit of work you are not so familier with.

Replacement for original (now tatty) copy
Bought as a replacement for the original manual of the same title. Same format, but a stronger binding, although the cover is a little flimsy for use in the workshop. I will use as an indoor reference.
