I have purchased this product a couple of times now. This works great for my 4 year old. She likes the taste, and is the only medication she’ll take when she’s coming down with a cold. Her colds are mild and go away quickly when taking this. I make sure to always have some. It’s a bummer that stores like target, Walmart, or cvs doesn’t sell it anymore. Also as other reviewers stated it will stain your child’s clothes so be ware.

I believe the product does work with hoarse cough . Results were right away however I noticed my daughters cheeks got rosy after giving her the medicine . I didn’t catch it right away. The first day I received the item I used the nighttime; first dose . The second day of using the medicine; I gave her one dose in the morning after breakfast using the daytime. I noticed her cheeks rosy but I assumed it was normal since she has fairly light skin So I dismissed it . The second dose was later afternoon and I saw again her cheeks but this time more pink in a darker shade.. third dose was before bedtime giving her the nighttime dose and her cheeks were red as if someone painted perfect circles on her cheeks and now chin. Then that night she developed a fever. I applied a topical cream which helped her redness.Third day, I didn't give her the Vicks. So, I bought the one I usually buy for her at the pharmacy for cold and another for dry cough which needs to be refrigerated after opening. I continued to apply the topical cream and the redness started to disappear. Fourth day she got better. My daughter is one years old and is still breast feed. The medicine does work but it wasn’t for my child.

This seems to be the only medication that my toddler can take that actually helps. Every thing in stores is 4yr and up he's 2 so this is great!.

I was super happy to see Vicks came out with a line of more natural medications for babies and children. We love Vicks brand, but I steered clear of giving any of it to my baby before this line was introduced. We had to use this a couple weeks ago to treat congestion that lasted 10 days. The minute this arrived in the mail I tore it open and poured the recommended dose for my toddler who drank it down and asked for more. He was a little more apprehensive to take it the 2nd time and for his nighttime dose, and did end up spitting it out. Just like some of the other competing brands, the dosage of this is fairly high and trying to get two full syringes of purple liquid down a 20 month olds throat normally ends in sticky medicine everywhere. But that’s just toddlers for you- I thought this tasted wonderful, like marshmallow, and feel like most kids will enjoy the flavor!I removed one star because mine did not come with a dosing cap or syringe which i found odd.Would definitely recommend giving this a try. It tastes WAYYYY better than all the competing brands on the market.

My son has allergy related asthma and once his nose starts running, the coughing begins. It started when he was around 1 and the doctors couldn't give us anything to stop it. He would have a persistent cough that could last as long as a month. And with all that coughing, it would trigger his asthma. So the doctors gave us inhalers to help keep the attack at bay and another to help with an attack.But we still needed cough medicine.Then we found this (angels singing)!!!!!!!When he turned 2, he started coughing and I came upon this. Gave it a try and within 3 DAYS it was gone!!!A month later, he started coughing again. As soon as we noticed it, we started him on this and in 2 DAYS it was gone!!! We were used to weeks of coughing and now we know it'll be gone in less than a week.SUPER Bummed that it's not in Walmart and with the price hike. But when it comes to the health of a child, we'll stick with what works.The best!!!

This is the all time remedy for my baby coughing. 3rd time using which I had to hunt it down here because I couldn't get it in a few pharmacies. 1st time I tried this medicine after reading through few medicine on shelf, it works wonder within 3 days. Gave my 15 months old baby at the time, 7 days straight with fever meds during a very serious constant coughing stage and high temperature. ( I did visit the emergency room for the temperature before and was instructed on what to do). I truly recommend this medicine. Just follow the instructions and you good.

My kids are not just picky but one has an oral sensitivity that he just refuses new things or things with a certain texture. I love this medicine because it’s not thick and goopy and I can get it into a syringe to deliver. It’s also quick and it definitely stops the cough. For mucus I actually use some kids allergy medicine in combination with this and it really works. Of course for fevers I use a reducer so it’s a little cocktail. This medicine is also long lasting so I feel confident that when I give it to them before school or before bed, they won’t need a re-up.

It came fast, and it works wonders for little ones under 2 years old.
