Bought a big green egg used on facebook. Gasket was worn. This was a great replacement part. Hardest part of installation was removing the old gasket. (lots of elbow grease)This was easy to install and effectively seals the big green egg

I pulled this out of the package and I was like " For real?" It looks like and feels like felt. After installing it and doing a season burn I was completely expecting this to just peel off like a burnt and melted mess. HOWEVER it worked amazingly well even on my firebox lid. I was pleasantly pleased and excited to not have to peel off a melted mess and install a new gasket. Give it a shot ... For the price it's pretty amazing. Have patience when installing it and clean the surface with rubbing alcohol before you put it on.

Ok product but ot as thick as the original, nor as expensive.

I have used this on my smoker and my grills, it keeps the smoke inside were it belongs until you release it, I can’t believe how low the price was, the seal works,I have used my smoker and grills quite a few times since I bought the seal gasket it has hold up well. I’m glad I bought this and I enjoy cooking on my grills and using my smoker even more now.

My new Z-grills 6002 smoker works wonderfully BUT the sealing round the lid to the main compartment was non-existent. It leaked almost as much smoke round the lid edges as up the chimney, and it left a significant creosote ring all around the rim after an 18-hour epic low-slow smoking session with a brisket.After running one thickness of this gasket around the whole rim on the box, and then an extra one on the lower edge where the gap is largest, it looked sealed. After a 48-hour period to give the glue ample drying time, a smoke-test was run. Now there is zero leakage around the lid!It took pretty much one roll to do this, so I still have a spare roll if needed.

The Smoker Chef Grill Gasket will provide an adequate seal to your smoker door(s). When cutting it to size, be sure to leave yourself about a half-inch or more of backing paper to grip so you can start peeling from the next section. I found it extremely difficult to separate the backing from the gasket after failing to do this. In trying to separate them, the gasket material shredded in my fingernails like a very cheap felt fabric. I'd go with another brand next time.

This works great. Easy to install and seals well. I was able to double up (tape on tape) and it held and sealed fine.

My Traeger was leaking at a gap in the lid. Installed this, and now no more leaks and I go through way less pellets and heat is way more stable.

Used this on 5 or 6 cooks now ( even a couple at 600F ).It did melt a bit sealing the top of the chimney on first cook, but hasnt deteriorated since. I have zero smoke coming out the top of my chimney now and it doesnt offgas any strange odours or smoke while the grill is running.The attatched picture shows condition and installation, im quite happy with the product.If it does deteriorate there was plenty in the package to reapply.

As described. Good adhesive. Did the job. Smoker is back in business 😜

Used on my Traeger Ranger, replacing another type I had used, degreased edge and the self adhesive gasket stick down very well, 👍👍
