Pipe dream
I bought this after trying an exhaust 'cement' , to fix a hole in the exhaust on my vauxhall corsa. The split was in the curved part of the exhaust that comes from the engine manifold and attaches to the straight through part before the muffler box. The exhaust was manufactured with a corrugated bend instead on the sweeping curve most exhausts have. This meant that on top of it being close to engine movement it also proved difficult to mould the bandage into the corrugated sections. I would think that on another part of the exhaust this wouldn't have been an issue. Only other issue I found was it will continue to be malleable when it gets hot, so the wire which is meant to wrap around the bandage is just as important a fixture as the bandage itself.

Lasted a week
Applied gun gum first soaked the bandage then fitted, the retaining wire wasn't the best had to use mig welding wire to complete the job, the bandage lasted a week enough time until I got a new exhaust and fitted

Worked for me!
After various failed attempts, this appears to be the only thing that's worked!Relatively easy to apply & seems to have formed a good bond. One packet may not be enough for a larger repair but ideal for something small & localised to one area. Good value for money.

RUBBISH which is TOTALLY UNFIT FOR PURPOSE
I write this review based on my decades of experiences as a consumer, householder, driver and user of items such as this. The reviews are very mixed. Maybe linked to a freshly released product versus something sitting on a forgotten shelf. This was delivered quickly alongside other items. On opening one of the two I purchased I found that there was NO adhesion of any sort whatever. The pipe was thoroughly cleaned then heated not just by vehicle but also by heat gun. This made NO difference. The product simply shrivelled and smoked.I have used similar products in the past and found it sticky out of the packet.I believe this is just old stock but have rated it on the experience.OVERALL, MY product is sheer rubbish and totally unfit for purpose. I am attempting refund route.

Limited
The product did the job BUT the bandage itself is not very long so you probably need 2 and the wire wrap supplied is not up to much I ended up striping some cable I had its lasted since I did it and is still good sofar hope this helps

More wire please
I am amazed that they still sell this stuff. I used to buy it in the late 80s to patch up the exhaust on my decrepit motorbike. Now as then, it does the job but they still need to give you about twice as much wire in the kit as they actually do.

Better than GunGum Bandage
This is a bit awkward to apply, but unlike GunGum bandage does NOT rot/fall apart if it gets wet overtimeOnce applied, it gets harder over time and is much better at sealing than GunGum with less mess due it being a tar based tape that you simply wrap around whatever needs sealingIt can't manage large holes, even with the included metal strips as they will simply blow a hole through it again, for minor splits its ideal. For large holes your better off with a baked bean tin and jubilee clips, gun gum on the inside of the tin, jubilee clips to hold it in place until set and then wrap this tape around the tin after removing the jubilee clips. Volila, One permanent but not very pretty repair for less than £5
