The instructions come in two sheets. One tries to explain the "Lotus Lantern" app. As a former IT professional, I can tell you the app and its instructions are at best cryptic. The second instruction sheet shows the working instructions for the "Smart Life" app, which works as described in the instructions. Don't get sidetracked with the "Lotus Lantern" app, save your sanity and go straight to the "Smart Life" app.I found these LEDs to be very sturdy and to date I have no problem with their being weatherproof. It just rained for 4 days in MI, USA, and they work fine (I did NOT leave the transformer out in the rain).

The media could not be loaded.  I think these lights are great. They are very bright and the remote works well to change the various settings. Like any product there are pros and cons. To avoid wasting your time, I am going to start with the cons first, so you can decide if they are enough to turn you off of these.Cons:The lights say external microphone for sound reactivity, but what that really means from what I can tell is that you need to have the app installed and open on your smartphone for sound reactivity to work properly. This is particularly frustrating as I picked these lights up to run behind the 1up "Tinycade" I setup in my basement. I was really hoping to have the lights flash and pulse with the sound effects from the arcade machines. With the smart app open the lights respond by changing colors to sounds. They don't pulse or dim which is what I had hoped they would do. I know this is a very specific gripe, but one I wanted to point out as it affects how I will set these up.The app works pretty well. Better than a lot of these smart device apps, but not quite as good as mainstream apps from well known light makers.The light strips are marketed as outdoor rated. Instead of being coated in clear silicone they have a silicone sheathing that the light strips slip into and the ends are siliconed. TO me this seems like it has a greater chance of taking in moisture vs some of the other outdoor rated light strips that I have used. I will be using these indoors so this doesn't bother me.That's it, those are the only things that I could find to be annoyed about. Now on to the good stuff.Pros:They are very bright, this is great for my usage since they will be obscured behind arcade cabinets.They use a very robust 3 pin connection point for the controller and power supply. I am having to source some additional matching plugs since I will be cutting these strips to install on each cabinet and I want the ability to rearrange the arcade as needed.The strips are cuttable and have markings just like other LED strips.The lights have a ton of different Vegas style patterns and animations. So even though I cant set them up how I envisioned, I still found a mode that my wife and I love for our Tinycade.I would 100% buy these lights again and I cant wait to finish my installation. I have posted a video of my test cabinet and I love what it does to liven up the space.

I really haven't had any issues with these lights so far, and installing them was pretty straightforward. I don't plan on using a lot of the more advanced features like music sync. I usually set them to a solid color and leave them at that. It does look great out on my deck.The only thing that worries me is the longevity, as I have had issues with similar products in the past standing the test of time outdoors. I will update this review if I run into any issues moving forward. So far so good!

Installation was straightforward didn't have any problems or issues running it around outside of our above ground pool. I just hope that the adhesive will stay as I didn't have any luck with other staying in place. Also I hope they last longer than one year outside.

These strips are great. With 2-32’ rolls lighting options just got a lot easier. No need to worry about not having enough of the strip and needing to order more there is plenty. The lights come with a remote, power adapter, mounting clips with screws and a remote. These light strips are waterproof making it easy to place wherever you want to add a little extra glow or add a little flare to your home with effects. Containing RGB-IC chips means that you have options for creating effects with the strips not just some bland colors in a single band. There is an app that is available to download through QR code that really allows you to explore what these lights can do and trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

I plan to install these lights along the railing around my pool deck. Unfortunately, it's way too cold and snowy out to do it right now. Hopefully in another month or two, and I will update this review if I discover anything noteworthy during or after installation. For the time being, I opened the box and checked out the contents, and I am extremely impressed! The kit comes with two large 10M (about 32') spools of waterproof LED strip lights, a plug-in transformer, a receiver with on/off switch and a nice remote control with a multitude of functions. Everything attaches simply with watertight connections that screw together. The kit also comes with a large bag of screws and plastic clips which can be used to secure the lights in place. The light strips are not adhesive-backed. That would be my only minor complaint as I would prefer sticking them in place to screwing and clipping. Very minor complaint, though. This is a very impressive light set! Highly recommend!!
