Lutron Caseta Diva Smart Dimmer Switch (Smart Hub Required), w Wallplate

I have used many different dimmers in my home and all work with Alexa which is important to me. Some Lutron dimmers require a hub which I have and it’s not expensive to add if needed. This dimmer is pretty impressive because it makes my wife happy not to have to press multiple buttons to get dimming just right. She wanted a dimmer that she can set once and every time she touches the switch, it goes to the set dimming level. First, this works perfect, no buzz, no flicker, just solid dimming. This model uses a slide on the side of the Decora paddle switch which makes dimming easy to set. Then when you press the switch on, it immediately goes to the preset dimming level which is perfect to set up a closet, bath or kitchen so you’re not blinded until you dim it. My wife especially likes this feature. But, if you press the top again, it jumps to full brightness or you can turn off by pressing the bottom. This is unique to this type dimmer. Another great feature is you can make this a 3 way or add a remote location control by pairing it with a wireless pico PJ2 3BRL with or without dimming. I used a dimming pico (around $24) and it works as a remote switch and can dim as well. I also can control it through Alexa. Awesome switch, works perfect and is the easiest switch to use and explain to a homeowner. No flicker, solid performance. I used LED down lights and wafers. I installed two in my bathroom shower and closet, they both work perfect and independent of each other with no flicker or hum.

Great product. The install was very simple. Scan the QR code and then your guided through the steps to get this set up. Although I have experience working with electrical, it's so simple that I think anybody can do it. Just watch a few YouTube videos in advance and then I'll let guided install walk you through. Everything worked for me the first time. I had done part of my house 6 years ago with lutron caseta. All of it has worked flawlessly for 6 years. I figured now was the time get the basement done. Only regret is that these are way too expensive.

This Lutron Caseta Smart Lighting Diva Smart Dimmer Switch is definitely a step up from the previous Caseta switches. It's got the same reliable function but with a sleeker, more modern design. The slider and soft-glow light bar allow for precise dimming, and the smart away feature provides peace of mind when you're not home. The price point is a bit high, but the quality and convenience make it a worthwhile investment. I'm planning to slowly replace all my old push-button switches with these superior ones.

The Lutron Diva Smart Dimmer Switch has been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. Installation was straightforward, and I appreciated that it doesn't require a neutral wire, making it compatible with older wiring systems. Pairing it with the Lutron Smart Hub enabled effortless control via the app and voice commands through Alexa. I wanted to upgrade my bedroom light switch to one that had smart features so I can turn them on either by voice or through the app. I chose the Lutron Diva Smart dimmer because it has the traditional design and style of my existing switches and also didn't require a neutral wire. The installation was super easy. All I had to do was safely remove the old light switch and connect the line, load, and ground wires to the new one. The switch worked instantly after turning on the breaker switch. The dimming slider didn't need to be calibrated either. Also there's very small LEDs on the side that displays the light brightness as you're sliding it up and down. Additionally while the dimmer is not in use, the LEDs light up very dimly as a courtesy/guide light. It's not bothersome at all at night or when the lights are off. In order to use the smart features, you'll need to buy a Lutron hub. It's essentially a small device that connects to your router through an ethernet port. That'll enable the integration with your smart home devices. I've attached the photo of the completed installation here. I think the switch looks great. It has a modern flair with no screws on the mounting plate.

Working exactly as I wanted. My girlfriend's father installed, she put it on the Lutron Hub, and now the Catio light turns on just before dawn and off just around dusk. Smooth path to smart light to save electricity, and yet insure light when we need it.

It does not have a "favorite intensity " button but if you press ON twice, the light turns ON at 100%. So, you can set a night/lower brightness with the dimmer slider and press ON twice to get full lighting during the day.

I have Caseta dimmers throughout my home, and was excited for the Diva line since they are, in my opinion, a better style (because they match most other decora switches). These are easy to install and setup. More importantly, the Lutron control network is extremely stable - I've never had a switch not respond or lose connection.

At 90CAD, this is far from cheap. Dimming work properly but Ethernet Hub is needed for the smart function. The toggle feel great, I like the way that the dimming control is working. Using the slider to adjust the desired intensity, double click the power on to override it and be at 100%. You can also override the slider from the app. That said, It is not possible to adjust the fade-in / fade-out when turning the light on/off. I don't mind the fade-out but I would like to adjust the fade-in timing especially at 90$. Note: Make sure you have a full size light switch junction box otherwise it won't fit.

Lutron switches work great. But no wallplate included as advertised.

The item I actually received was the basic unit, even though the listing title, description, and photos all state that this includes the wall plate, no wall plate was included. Deceptive listing.
