The Ova-Easy 100 Advance II is Brinsea's smallest cabinet incubator with all the digital features of its bigger brothers (the 190, 380 and 580). Eggs are held on two tilting shelves in 'Universal' trays which are adjustable for egg size from quail through to goose. (Optional species specific trays for optimal egg capacity can be purchased separately). The OvaEasy 100 is best suited to single stage incubation where a batch of eggs is set at one time and all hatch together. Hatching can be done inside the incubator using the removable covers which are supplied to contain the chicks. Alternatively the 100 can be used as a 'setter' only and eggs transferred to a separate incubator/hatcher (e.g Ovation 28 or 56 Eco) 2-3 days before hatching to minimise build up of fluff and dust associated with hatching and to enable batches of eggs at different stages of incubation to be run through the Ovaeasy 100 simultaneously. Humidity is monitored on the digital display and managed by occasionally topping up the internal water reservoir at the bottom of the machine and by adjusting the vent on the front of the machine. (The 100 Advance EX version includes a humidity pump which gives more precise, programmable and more 'hands-off' control of humidity and the humidity pump can also be purchased separately later). From the digital menu the user can also adjust the temperature, the turning interval and periodic cooling if required (e.g. for waterfowl). With a single button press, shelves can automatically be levelled for easy access to the trays. The Ova-Easy has a fully protected steel chassis which is rigid and rust resistant with laminated high density polystyrene sides providing good thermal insulation and smooth, easy to clean surfaces.
