great little trap.in the past I had to modify wooden base traps for my tree rat problem. the teeth on the edge of these work perfect.I drill a hole in these and mount them to trees. Zero complaints after about a month of use.

These things are not worth the metal they are made of.No matter what type of bait I use, the critters manage to remove it from the platform without triggering the hammer.These simply do NOT work.I could not give less than a single star otherwise I would have given a big fat goose egg zero.Do not waste your money.

They're not little mousetraps. They're good for rats, chipmunks and small squirrels. Good quality.

Tried a number of traps during a recent infestation.Wooden Victors, plastic T-Rex, humane, etc.These were the most efficacious for the money so far.Good value. Relatively durable. Strong snap and teeth on outside so they can't work themselves loose.Ordered 2 boxes, one trap missing a pedal.Metal, so some bending adjustment needed to fine tune trigger. Pedal would benefit greatly from some additional hole(s) to secure bait. The small punched barb isn't sufficient to hold bait tightly and rats are deft enough to remove bait if it isn't tied down. Not as mod-able as Victor traps.The arm bar and spring will rust more readily than the frame in outdoor use, but have fared far better than Victor traps in that regard.They're a good trap to have on hand to use in your rat trapping process(eliminating other sources of food, blocking access, pre-baiting, etc.).

At the barn we see rats regularly. All the set traps are stripped of bait and trigger without catching the culprit. Switched to heavier Victor traps and started seeing success. Won't be wasting my time with these traps, maybe good for crafts or something othe than catching rodents.

I set four different manufactures snap trap. Got 8 rodents. 7 of the rodents were from this metal trap. Drilled a small hole in a cashew and stuck it on the trigger pin as bait.

These traps have a really strong spring!

Purchased these traps and at first thought they were quite nice but when I went to set them i noticed that they weren't very sensitive . I did everything I could to make them trigger more easily even tied the bait on with a piece of string but after setting 6 all of them with the bait gone and only 1 triggered {which still didn't catch anything} I have determined they are pretty much worthless . I guess that's what I get for trying to save a few bucks.

These traps have a better tensile trigger lever than others i have ( same model) & therefore less friction to overcome to set trap off. I also drilled extra holes to wire bait on. Perfect setup.
