Rizzoli & Isles: The Complete Series [DVD] [2016] [2017]

I love Rizzoli & Isles, I have just finished mainlining it on UKTV Alibi (for the fourth time), and loved it so much (again) I was very happy to see a reasonably priced full box set. This is a fun show, I love the characters (once we're past the first couple of eps, it does have the usual 'pilot' issues), the plots are fun and touching and, of course, dramatic and over the top - I mean, how many disasters can happen to one Boston detective and her best-friend medical examiner :D. But please suspend you disbelief, it's worth it.So I duly bought the box set - twice.I returned the first set because there were encoding problems with the first dvds of S3, S4, S5, S6 and S7: the menu is either not there or the wrong one, so the disc doesn't fire up in the dvd player. Since the replacement set also has these issues, I have decided not to return them again since the episodes play fine once you find them on the disc My DVD player is on my computer, so I have the benefit of being able to look at the file listing, but you'll have problems if you just have a standard DVD player.As seen on other reviews, not all sets have this issue, but you might have to play the returns game, which, although annoying, is really simple.

This is/was a great TV show. The box set purchased is also very good and all DVD's worked.

I've come to this show late but what a find, dramatic, funny, and engaging. You fall in love the characters quickly and can't wait to see what happens to them in the following episodes... Brilliant!

Bearing in mind the 1-star reviews this product has received, as soon as it arrived I checked the contents carefully. The 7 series come in 7 separate cardboard packs, with individual disks slotted into slits. Although the whole package fits snugly into its outer case, in 2 of the series 2 of the 3 or 4 disks had come loose. I immediately checked all 4 of them for faults by opening each episode. I found no obvious problems, so I can recommend this product unreservedly. I look forward to renewing my acquaintanceship with the lovely female detectives.

Love this show, had to buy the boxset as it wasnt on and streaming apps, but its totally worth it for all the extras. Sat and binge watched this in just over a week during lockdownKirsty

I love boxsets! Especially the complete ones.I love this show, and asked for this as a birthday present.I didn't read the reviews before I bought it, and the ones regarding the "box" wouldn't have put me off, but I'm pleased to say that mine arrived in a plastic box. No cardboard sleeves, so maybe the publisher has listened to the reviews and changed the packaging.
