Do not prep with other items
First I would like to address the reason that I took one star off, the reason is bc everyone says while prepping these (washing/drying before use) that you can throw them in with a load of other clothes, I had 18 of these diapers and a small load of baby clothes in the washer all at the same time and after one wash when I went to put everything on the dryer alllll of the light colored baby clothes were turned a yellow/brown color. I was so sad, hopefully I can wash it out, possibly will have to bleach some of them, but I just wanted to worn others to NOT wash these with other clothes. I don’t know what the color is that came off? Maybe it’s natural oils? I hope it’s not a dye.Anyway, you can read more below about why we chose the diapers and what we like!So I started cloth diapering just 3 months ago and we bought 18 diapers from Nora’s Nursery bc they had adorable prints and I saw that pocket style cloth diapers seemed to be the most common, they worked fine, but I found that I HATED stuffing the pocket, didn’t like the synthetic material and felt they didn’t get truly clean in the wash, so I started looking for cotton cloth diapers. I didn’t want to have to fold anything and had seen workhouse diapers before, but didn’t want to pay their price & so here we are!We sold all of our pocket style and purchased 18 of these, they are sooo nice & thick, they’re puffier than I was expecting for some reason, (maybe bc we have some organic Grovia brand now too and I was comparing them to those) but I LOVE the 12 layers of unbleached cotton. I washed/dried three times and baby will be wearing them today! We purchased Thirsties brand duo covers to put over these, I recommend those for covers for use over these bc Thirsties is made in America (Colorado) and they are one of the only brand I could find with a pure white cover, if you’re like me and don’t like all of the designs/different colors on baby items. (We also bought 10 Grovia diapers, they use 100% organic cotton & those are my absolute fav, but the price is just too much for us to buy our whole stash with those right now)

Most affordable fitted diaper
When I decided to cloth diaper I had chosen to go with one size pocket diapers and use disposables to bridge the gap between birth and when the pocket diapers would fit, but then I gave birth to a preemie. The time my baby would be in disposables ended up being much longer than I had planned for. Environmental guilt and issues with availability and purchase limits on disposable diapers forced me to look for a short term cloth option.I decided to use fitted diapers mostly because of how affordable these diapers are. The other options in cloth fitted diapers are WAY more expensive and affordability paired with ease of teaching others how to use a two part diaper system made it worthwhile for me to try this out.I started using these when my preemie hit 7 pounds, but I probably could have started using them at 5.5 pounds. They're absorbent enough to easily last between feedings which is 3-4 hours. I've never had poop escape and urine wicks throughout the cotton so it takes a while to overload the diaper's total absorbancy. Due to that wicking I would recommend waiting until the umbilical cord falls off to use these. My baby is nearly 10 pounds now and I'm not sure if they'll fit all the way up to 18 pounds, but I'm confident that when they become too small the one size pocket diapers that I already have will fit.As for the laundry experience I do a pre-wash spray down with cold water, spot treat poop stains, then run them through a 120f regular wash cycle, and dry them for 70 minutes on high heat. I found that they would not get completely dry on low heat and they needed a longer dry cycle on high. Costco brand fragrance free liquid detergent and color safe bleach have kept the diapers clean and absorbent. I recently doubled the number I had on hand and I can't tell which diapers are newer. They're holding up very well and I expect to be able to use them with a second child.I haven't had issues with any of the different brands of covers I bought to use with these, but for function I liked the Thirsties hook and loop duo wrap the best.

GREAT for overnight use
We switched to these fitted diapers and use a thirsties cover for overnight use. MUCH better than our pockets. Absolutely love them and they hold a lot and they don't stink in the mornings. We throw them in with our other diapers on wash day (pre wash and main wash) and they have held up great. I will be buying more.

These are a great economic choice for a fitted diaper
These are a great economic choice for a fitted diaper. I love them for day time use, they are very soft, and have yet to have any poop escape. I use these with wool covers, so keeping the poop off of those covers is a huge plus for me otherwise I’d be washing them all of the time. The cons are that they run small, my daughter is 17.5 lbs and I have the size 2 (18-30lbs) and there is no way these will fit her for more than a few months. They are also not night worthy, but that’s not a deal breaker.

Not a huge time saver
I got these along with a dozen flats thinking they might be a time saver over the flats. As it turns out, they soak through faster than kite-folded flats, so I don’t love them, and they’ve really got no labor-saving advantage over prefolds, which I imagine they’re comparable to, in terms of capacity

Love it
This product is great but if you are using for an overnight diaper I suggest rinsing after because you can get ammonia build up because of the thickness of the diaper. Other wise this is a great diaper I never have leaks overnight now

Super Absorbent
Amazing. These are a quick and easy diaper, great for nighttime. My little one sleeps 7.5 hours and wakes up drenched, but no leaks. I really like the Osocozy trifolds, but when I bought these I found they’re the same absorbency with the ease of a fitted.
