These desktop LED light bars have a very simple type of controller/connection. You simply plug them into a USB power supply (computer/transformer/charger, etc..) and you can quickly power them up.I'm using them with the included stands, not the adhesives. I have these sitting to the left and right of an ultra wide monitor, and they illuminate the entire wall/area behind the monitor. This is AWESOME. They are very bright for their size.They include a hand held remote control, which is very convenient to turn them on and off if you don't have your smart phone handy, and in addition to that there is a hardwired remote control built into the controller that you can simply push a button to turn on and off, or change modes. Very quick and convenient access.The lights have a simple "pin" style connector, but what I really like about these, there is a plastic protector on the connector to keep it in place. This is not common on other light bars, and I found this to be awesome to keep these wires plugged in while adjusting and moving the lights around. Very well thought out.Lastly, the Smart Life app is really what makes this light bar set a game changer. Having this app setup to control these lights unlocks a whole world of usage. From schedules, to music modes, and even synchronizing with other lights in my office. The dozens of modes you can choose from makes these lights go from amazing, to spectacular. Great engineering, awesome quality and very well designed.Absolutely 5 stars indeed!

I set these light bars up on each side of my TV using the included stands. These light bars are bright enough to light up the rooms and there are a good number of light scenes to choose from. I already had the app on my phone, so the app setup was a breeze. I would have liked the cords to be a little longer but I managed to get them to stretch just long enough. These are nice light bars if you're in the market.

These light bars are a fun novelty to begin with. The set up could have been easier. On the included insert, it shows Owner’s manual and then a QR code. You would think a more detailed instruction book would be at the end of the QR code, but it’s just the link to get the Tuya app. Once you get the app, there isn’t really any more instruction in there, it’s just the different modes. You can play with the options and see what happens, but there’s no explanation of the different modes. You also get the option of setting a couple of automations like Turn on if it’s raining or snowing and Scheduled lights off. You have to connect it to your location, so it shows you the temperature outside as well as run your automations. It can partner with Alexa, Google assistant and a couple others that I’m not familiar with. I tried connecting it to our Ihome mini, but it didn’t work. It paired with our Google based TV just fine. Even though it has these automations in place, I have gotten various error messages where they didn’t trigger. It does pair with my TV so when we watch anything, the sound makes the lights light up. It also lights up when we talk or when the dog barks. After a while, watching TV with the lights flicking on and off gives me a headache. It’s a fun novelty, but not for all the time. The bars are very lightweight. They are currently sitting on the back ledge of my TV without any of the adhesive or the stands that they came with because I wasn’t sure we wanted to keep them there since only two sides really get to show the light, but it’s bright enough with just the two. They are fun to play with but I would not buy these again.

They work with Alexa and Google Assistant via WiFi to allow me to effortlessly control the on/off, brightness, colors, and even lighting effects.Smart App Control is another feature that you can use for control, though I find myself using the voice control much more often. With access to an intuitive timer function, customizable DIY colors and light effects, I can transform how I watch entertainment or set the theme of my office.The LED light bars for room are also versatile in terms of placement. They can lay flat, stand vertically, or be connected to the back of the TV or computer with a strong adhesive. This allows me to place the hue light bar at the desired angle and the fast installation and easy operation make it a breeze to get set up. They are constructed of light weight plastic, and the devices while functional feel inexpensively made.The RGB smart light bars also have an internal high-sensitivity mic that can react and move to the beat of my music, movie, and gaming audio for an immersive sound and light experience. I did not really find myself using this feature since I'm setting it for office lighting ambience.Overall, I would recommend the lights for anyone looking to add a pop of color and depth to their entertainment system or computer setup. The easy-to-use app and voice control features make it easy to customize the lights to your preferences.

Not as big as they appear. Son was disappointed and didn’t use it long.

I love this light. I am using them as an access for the wall behind my TV. They shine out from either site lighting the wall and creating a perfect accent to the room. The remote works perfectly, but I am not really using the remote that often. The wiring has an IR sensor to allow the remote to function even if the main part of the lights are concealed. you just poke the wire end out and the IR remote is detected. My home is a Smart Home, so I use voice commands for the lighting, as well as many other things in my home. I have experience issues with some of the other lighting that allowed only turn on and off with voice, but this using does not have those issues. The light is controllable for color and brightness without any issues. Aside from this one that I received to review, I have 2 other pairs already in use in my home and I love them.
