Really makes a great solution for a covering. I used it for a cable access point. Looks fine in white and if I paint again; you can paint the surface to match the wall color. Very happy with this purchase and the results.

We purchased two of theses to put into a closet that is alongside our water lines. Then if there's any problem in the future, we don't need to tear out a wall! These are sturdy and look nice. They were easy to put into the wall of our new closet.

My electrician had to cut a fairly large hole in the garage ceiling in order to install a small electrical panel. He told me to not to close the hole up because he could potentially need to access that area again. This access panel was to perfect size to cover that hole. Since I installed it in the ceiling, I straightened the metal tabs and screwed through them instead up using the recommended montage glue for installation. The latch on the door catches just enough to keep the door closed even though it is on the ceiling instead of a wall. No more down-drafts from the garage roof!

This 4" x 4" White Plastic Access Panel w Door does its job very well at a good price. Our Whirlpool Duet front load washer has a drain filter that clogs roughly every year now. The drain filter is behind the front panel, facing the front panel. However, there is no door in the front panel, so we have to pull the top, electronics control panel, door, door seal, and front panel off to access the filter. This year I decided to cut a hole in the front panel such that we can easily access the filter. I purchased and installed this access door to cover the hole on the front panel. I cut the square hole roughly 4 in by 4 in, and hot-glued the frame in place from the inside. I took my Dremel, and reduced the thickness of the door flange on the door itself, to make it easier to bend the door a bit to get the hinge posts out of the door frame. It looks great, and allows easy access to the drain filter. It is easy to open the door with my fingernail, easy to pull the door off, easy to access the drain filter, easy to replace the door, and easy to close the door; the door snaps shut when closed. It appears that it is sufficiently sturdy to last the lifetime of the washer, which, given that I repair and maintain the washer myself, will probably be another twenty years. This access panel works well for me, at a decent price, so I give it 5 stars.

Durable and good design.

This is exactly what I was looking for - solid, flush, easy to install and open without a key or tool for an odd sized opening we were left after plumbing repairs. However both the original and the replacement 12”x20” I ordered arrived with bent corners — like they had been dropped and hit the corner. Too bent allow a flush application and material is sturdy enough to not bend back easily or without visible signs of repair.Unfortunately I need to return both and look for another source as I don’t want to try a third time. This seems to be the only vent for our sized opening so hoping to find another vendor as panel itself appears to be good if we could get it here undamaged.
