Unique way to keep the humidifier clean.I like that this product. Was very easy to use. I literally filled my humidifier and dropped it inside.

I originally ordered these to use in the fish tank until I read that they can be used in the humidifier.  I have a 1-gallon humidifier that I run in my 10-year-old grandson's bedroom during the cold months as he gets serious nosebleeds from the dryness of the air due to our heating system.  I had been using the ball type with the little handle on top which cleans but I always found residue and cleaned the humidifier every few days because I was paranoid that mold would form.  You get 5 of these cartridges for $11.97 which is an excellent cost as a 2-pack of the ball type at Home Depot was roughly $10. I have been using the VEOL cleaner beads for a month and a half and just discarded the first one, cleaned the humidifier tank, and dropped in the second one.  So far the first one kept the humidifier very clean.  Instead of cleaning it every few days, I am only cleaning it once a week and when I do clean it I am not finding any serious residue. I have a high-end entire house water system that helps but if left to long the humidifier tank will still grow mold and accumulate debris.  I will continue to use these as the five cartridges will last 240 days which is roughly just about how many days I need until warm weather comes and the humidity increases.  I feel confident that these really work as described and will continue to use these as having them on hand is a stress release on my end.  I will update my review if anything changes.

They all fell apart 3 making a huge mess in my kitchen the 4th broke open inside the humidifier and clogged the water hole so that’s nice. Save your money

My dehumidifier came with some of these balls originally and it was time to find a replacement. Really helps keep the dehumidifier from getting too nasty. Just drop the cube in and let it do its work. They don't prevent any growth or buildup from occurring, though they do help keep the dehumidifier in better shape for longer. Since cleaning the dehumidifier usually isn't my favorite chore, things that increase the time between need for cleaning cycles are definitely a plus in my book.

5 pack. They are supposed to purify the water, extend the humidifiers life, and improve air quality. Silver is the only ingredient it doesn’t say what the other ingredients are. Made in china.

I deliberately waited a couple weeks to review this product. I wanted to be able to see if they made any difference at all.I have a house full of guitars, so maintaining accurate humidity is expremely important. I use a whole house humidifier connected to my heating system, and supliment that in both the music room and master bedroom with smaller humidifiers. I place one of these cubes in the bedroom humidifier's water tank and it seems to be doing a decent job of maintaining a cleaner humidifier. Usually, within a couple of weeks, the area below the tank gets moldy, with pink and black crud growing in hidden spots. These cubes seem to be cutting that growth down. My wife also noticed that her allergies don't seem to be as bad. I'll continue to use these cubes and report back later on the long-term effects of using them.
