Replacement Apple tv Remote Control for Apple TV 1 2 3 4 A1156 A1427 A1469 A1378 Apple TV2 TV3 - APL TV MC377LL/A Remot made from plastic(not orig)

We have an apple 4k box which we have had for 2 years. We lost the remote. This replacement remote seemed to work with basic functions straight out of the box however, to get full functionality we did have to re-pair the remote. It was all very confusing. At first it would only switch the apple box on. My husband then paired his apple phone remote with the tv, and used that to access settings. Once we got into the settings and tried to pair this remote, it seemed that it was already fully paired and ended up working perfectly, having initially seemed not to work. The instructions that it comes with says to hold the menu button down and press the right arrow for 6 seconds to pair, which we had done straight away, so I suspect it just took some time for this to register. It takes a CR2032 battery which is not supplied.

Does not work with my Apple TV and yes I did remember to put a battery in it. I also have 2 Apple TV’s and it did not work on either.

Works ok. A bit flimsy and light but basically does the job. Made of plastic.

Cheap Apple Remote control. It worked as soon as I added my own battery

A more robust replacement than some, performs as expected *** NO 2032 coin battery included *** so no plug and play.if you don’t have any. RECOMMENDED

This is not what I expected, it is made out of poor quality plastic, if it was not so cheap I would be returning it. Utter rubbish!

Pretty straightforward, new battery fitted and go . Well not quite, old remote needs to be unpaired and the new unit paired to your Apple TV. Once done all ok.

It works like a charm , looks exactly the same but it is plastic.. for that price 👍
