Likes: feedback: A+ on the study and test strategy advice! It was helpful to know about the test set-up and timing system. And how NOT to get stuck on a question on exam day. Easy to read and comprehend. Most chapter lengths were reasonable. The book has video tutorial links which are REALLY good and have specific examples that are likely to make sense when taking the quiz. The presenters in the videos are first-rate in presentation skills - better than most LinkedIn tutorials or Youtube videos. Slight improvement to be made: One segment needed a break and a quiz I would stop the TA and TD at pg 101. Benefits and Compensation should be a separate segment with a quiz. HIPAA did not touch on data security - that was a miss. Also, test takers, remember your state-specific rules. In general, this textbook is related to federal HR law. All in - good! I am pleased with the purchase.

I highly recommend this product for people to utilize for studying for their SHRM-CP exam. I used this along with the SHRM BASK, the LinkedIN SHRM-CP Prep Course, and HR Jetpack YouTube videos. I did not have $1,200 for the SHRM learning system so I was determined to find other materials to help me prepare. Mometrix is awesome and has numerous practice tests, videos, audio, quizzes, and good reading material. All for an extremely affordable price. I passed my SHRM-CP exam on the first try by using Mometrix!! Thank you! My next exam is for my LCSW license so I will be using Mometrix for this as well!

The format of the book made studying incredibly easy. The book offers links to media resources. The practice exams were well done. I have completed my MBA and most of my MSHRM from WGU and utilized this study guiden (and the e-book on Audible), and I passed my SHRM-CP exam on the first try. Would recommend this brand- their current year guide is offered in a digital format through their website as well.

I have had 20 years of experience working in HR in learning and development but have never held a Generalist or an HR Business Partner role. After my layoff in March, I wanted to make myself more marketable and possibly move into that kind of a role, so I thought a SHRM-CP certification would be helpful. I bought this study guide to prepare for the SHRM-CP exam, which I took back in May and passed on my first attempt. This guide is a comprehensive overview of the topics on the exam. I followed the recommended four-week study plan and really worked hard reading the book and taking the practice exams. I also viewed the online videos that are available for no extra cost. I recommend this study guide for anyone who wants to pass the SHRM-CP.

The first section is tips and tricks on how to take a test and maximize your score, which I thought was really cool. I studied in 4 weeks, breaking the book up into sections, the way it suggests and I passed the exam! The book is a great resource, would recommend.

It’s a huge comfort when you’re studying any free resources you can find online and then jump to a more formal guide (like this) and can see that the information inside is aligned with what you know the test will cover. This study guide is organized, succinct, and includes well put together video links with very little fluff. The price is also very reasonable compared to other SHRM test prep products.

I took the course At a college few years back, failed the test. Took it this time with the assistance of this book and passed. Was one of the best study guide I have ever used. Reads easily, the content was true to the exam.

Well organized, contents are correct and explicit. Quiz after each chapter helps identifying which concepts I need to review or reinforce. Also supporting videos are quite professional.
