Awesome pets
Bought this item for our 10 year old animal mad daughter at Christmas. The item took about a week to arrive but the eggs took over two months to hatch but once they did we ended up with six stick insects. We feed sticks Ivy from the garden (change it twice a week and spray water mist on the leaves once a week). The insects are really interesting to watch as they grow - our biggest insect (twiggy) is about 10cm long now and my daughter regularly gets it out to hold.Top tip: we’re growing ivy in a pot from some off cuts we took from the garden (tips on how to do this are easily available on the internet), this should mean that the sticks can just have a pot of live ivy in their enclosure to eat. Don’t buy a potted ivy plant from the garden centre as these often have pesticides on them so can kill your sticks.

They are so cute!
Within a week of receiving the item we had one baby stick insect and a couple of weeks on we now have six. They are small and cute and my daughters love them. We still have a few eggs that haven’t hatched but we are keeping an eye on them and even if they don’t we are very happy with the ones we have. Great item! Thank you!

Already came hatched
The item itself is great but two eggs came hatched already so unsure how ling these poor guys have been without food but they seem happy enough. Plenty of information in the letter and booklet so my son could care for them right away

Disappointed
We got these and followed the instructions to the letter but have only hatched 5 eggs and two of them have died. But my grandson is still interested in them.

Only 2 hatched and died early
Only 2 stick insects hatched and we followed the instructions to the letter and the 2 that hatched died within a week, good idea but left daughter sad

Patience is a virtue!
* 5 months on UPDATE *Our stick insects are still thriving! Getting really long now, about 5-6cm, we are still finding them easy to take care of and clean out and the enclosure is sturdy and still big enough for them. The children love seeing how big the sticks grow each time they've gone through a shedding! Love them!Ordered this for my son's birthday at the beginning of October as he loves bugs, it's now mid December and they've finally hatched! We woke up to three insects, (the children were fascinated as they also saw one emerging!)We've managed to put some food in there for them to eat and are looking forward to watching hem grow! They may take a while to hatch but keep patience as I now have three very excited children! And three hungry stick insects!
