Every now and again, I look at a product with fancy little details like a color status display, and think "Why would I use this?". This little Dockcase smart USB C hub answered that question pretty quickly when I plugged it in and realized my monitor wasn't syncing at the rate I expected. Upon investigation, I had a bad HDMI cable preventing it from shining through at full 4K. A quick cable swap, and this unit did everything I expected, all while charging my Dell laptop at full rate. It features plenty of ports in a slim package, and yes...a very useful status display.

I liked this at first, even though it was a little finicky. Most other ones had been too with my setup. After only about a month and a half it just totally died though, so all that fancy readout action it had going was useless since I couldn't get it to connect to anything. Video was just dead.

Decent amount of ports. Works perfectly for my setup, i think the best thing about it is the fact that the main input usb cable is detachable I replace the one included for a longer one, something that most of competitors lack of. It is fun to have the display but probably a cheaper option will perform the same for less money.

This product works great, unless you lose the cord. If you try a different 10gbps c to c cable it will still kinda work. But the hdmi out only works on my high end laptop. It will not work with high end phones S22 Ultra plus 5g, tablet galaxyS7 FE, Nintendo switch, or other various tablets, phones, and older laptops I tried it on.

As an AV person this helps me troubleshoot cables that for data throughput as well as HDMI cables and connectors. Pricey but what other dock/hub provides PD and serves as a good hub with an lcd?

I use this hub for my dj setup and it works great. Be aware it draws power from your laptop.

Since the minute I hooked up this docking station I was in love with this product, It is just awesome I got too many things connected to my laptop and was using all these adaptors my laptop use to look like an octopus. Now my workspace looks more tidy and it works great.

My one gripe is the price. For what you’re paying for, it’s a little expensive. You don’t really need the display for the hub, but it can be helpful with diagnosing certain things. If the price is right I definitely recommend it. It should have a case, as the tempered glass def seems breakable. I would be worried to use this compared to a UNI hub for more intense work applications, where things might be moving or at risk of falling.

For its price point, this hub punch above its weight. It’s has a premium build and a status lcd screen, nothing I have ever seen before. It’s worth the buy.
