Masonry monster
I have done some major renovation in my house that included taking walls down and removing plaster off other wall. Used a chisel bit on hammer setting which was more effective and much quicker than hand bolster and hammer. Money well spent and saved me a lot of time. Quick adding and release of SDS bits is great feature also. Also has a long lead. A 5 star tool.

Worth paying extra for the anti vibration if intended for prolonged use . . .
Worth paying extra for anti vibration if intended for prolonged use- knocking off render or drilling for damp proofing. Makitas can cope pretty well with prolonged use unlike some other makes but still need to stop +let drill cool down periodically.

Very good budget dfs drill
Had it about a month nowI’m a builder so it gets heavy use. So far so good.Seems sturdy and reasonable power. Switch underneath is a pain for me but not enough to make me not buy another.Clutch seems set well and drills through concrete blocks and engineering bricks easily.

Poor Front lock, drill bit comes off
Drill bits comes off when you finished drilling and pull out. Probably the front lock does not work. Not sure if i got a bad batch but its terrible to deal with.

Fantastic drill.
Brilliant bit of kit. Went through hard engineering brick like a knife through butter. The Makita brand was recommended to me by a tradesman. Told me not to bother with anything else. Have not regretted it so far.

High power, low vibration
This drilled 16mm holes in concrete with ease and with less vibration than I expected. This should last a lifetime of home use.
