It is a nice kit and has made rolling the sushi a lot easier. It works, even though some of the shapes are just gimmicky. You don't need a heart shape, for example, it just makes it harder but if that's your thing, go for it. I only really use the large round and the small square.However, this is not a miracle maker. If your rice is not right and cooked properly to a good sticky consistency, it will not work. I buy sushi rice grains, cook and spice it myself. That work cannot be replaced.This kit does wonders for the rolling and especially the cutting, which was my main problem before (a good, sharp knife is also a must).So know your needs and level your expectations and this is a great product.

I love that there are a few shapes you can make your sushi into. The quality is good, it’s not very hard to clean them but I recommend cleaning them ASAP so it’s easier. Don’t give up if your first time using it doesn’t turn out nice, it takes some practice.

Absolute waste of money. I don’t know if I got a faulty one but the ‘press’ top half doesn’t fit in to the mould so you can’t compress your sushi roll, you are left with a roll falling to pieces. I’ve used the bamboo rolls before and although more faff, at least it works. This is absolutely useless and we just ended up making sushi cones instead. Waste of time and money, avoid.
