Very modern and sturdy
First one arrived broken but I do think that was on Amazon’s packaging fault. It was not packed properly when I opened it. Second replacement was packaged right and unbroken. Very modern looking. I enjoy drinking lattes out of the cups and get many compliments. I recommend.

Beautiful & substantial but doesn't hold 9 oz.
I like that it feels sturdy & substantial. It is on the heavier side but I did not want thin & delicate. If heavy is a problem for you, you won't like this. The square bottom makes it a bit more modern and adds interest. Lastly, I like the slightly upturned shape of the saucer. I hate flat saucers that don't keep any spills corralled. I have many beautiful teacups, the clear glass allows me to be able to add visual enjoyment of the beautiful hues of various teas I brew.I took off 2 stars for 2 reasons: First, it doesn't hold 9 oz. The description is wrong. In fact, you can only get 8 oz in if you fill it to the very brim, which means you can't move it without spilling. Second, it needs more clearance between the handle and the saucer. I have had to alter the way I normally pick up my teacups. You can't comfortably pick it up with your middle, supporting finger rested underneath the handle. you have to keep it against the side instead. They could make it a little taller so that there's more space between the handle & the saucer which would also allow them to reduce the circumference a bit, which would aid in keeping hot tea from cooling too fast. The circumference makes for a lot of surface area encouraging heat loss.

Only holds 7 1/2 ounces of liquid.
I needed cups that would hold 9 ounces of liquid. These only hold 7 1/2 ounces of liquid. What is it with these sellers overestimating the amount their cups hold? Not happy!

Item arrived damaged twice!
I have ordered this item for the second time. The first set arrived in perfect condition. The second didn’t.Update 06/24/2022 I have received the replacement for this item. It arrived damaged twice. I am so disappointed.
