Q: are they 30 inches after you have put spikes down?

Sorry for late response - 30 inches from very top to bottom, but the bottom prongs are only three inches so not major difference. Unless you are setting into concrete, the standing strength of the fence comes for the interlinking sections and stave poles used between sections so not super strong structure against blows and knocks against it.

Q: Could you please tell me how wide this fence panel is as there are two dimensions listed. ?

For section with 7 spikes at top the width is 70 cm from spike 1 to spike 7 and adding the end connections (Up to connecting rod holes) the width becomes 90/92 cm .

Q: Does this post also work with the gate or is it just for the panels? Thank you

To be honest, I had to erect some fencing to protect my border from deer eating all my plants as last year. So I bought the product to strengthen the fencing panels. The were black steel very fine and see through, so they have done the job for me. So regarding the gate, I'm sorry I don't know. All I can say is that they are very strong.
