All right. I didn’t want to leave a review because this is solid gold and I don’t want it to run out of stock if people stumble onto this and buy it up like mad. But that’s selfish, and I’m hopeful the seller will see this, and this can create an avalanche effect of positive reviews so they know to keep selling it.Anyhow, this is great. I have Sahara-dry, post-menopausal skin (although I’m only in my almost-late 30s). I could layer this medium-to-heavy-weight cream on my face 6 times and put makeup on top, and it still wouldn’t pill—that’s how dry my skin is.Now that that detail is out of the way, this is my new piéce de rèsistance in my dry-skin focused routine. It’s my final skincare layer that locks in hydration during the daytime. (Before that is Avéne’s RetrinAL serum and Avéne’s Tolerance Balm—the dry skin version.)This product replaced two, sometimes three additional moisturizers, so I won’t complain too much about the almost $40 cost. Plus, the larger bottle is lasting me far longer than any of my other products.It wears well under makeup, and seriously prevents the dry, tight, sometimes painfully uncomfortable feeling of dehydrated, overly dry skin.And as someone with HYPERSENSITIVE skin, this didn’t cause any issues, which seriously surprised me as usually higher-number-of-ingredient products tend to do. I say that, though, but I’ll warn you that if you do have a compromised skin barrier + hypersensitive skin, don’t apply this for at least a week. Use Avéne’s Cilcalfate+ (zinc) cream after a basic moisturizer first, then you can add this in or swap them if you hate looking like a white-cast ghost every night. (No Cicalfate+ in the morning unless you’re as white as freshly bleached sheets.)Anyhow, this tingles and stung a bit when applied to compromised-barrier skin, but it didn’t cause any irritation or flushing. However, I didn’t want to push my luck, so I waited a week to give it a proper try again, and I’m really glad I did.I’ve been using this for over a month now, and even in a drier climate, I get regular compliments on my skin.Seller: Please, keep this product on hand!
