Our high-quality Candle Dye Chips are easy way to consistently create many different shades for coloring candles. Candle dye chips can be used in paraffin and soy wax. DOSAGE & USAGE INSTRUCTIONThe recommended use is 1 chip per lb. of wax for a medium shade, using less for lighter shades and more for deeper colors Each chip can be broken into smaller pieces is desired. Candle dye chips can be blended with other colors to create additional unique colors. Add dye chips to wax at 185 degrees or higher then stir thoroughly to ensure the dye chip fully disperses in the wax. As with all candle making projects, we always recommend testing to achieve desired resultsThe color can vary with amount of dye and type of wax used. Other factors that can impact color when making candles include wax opacity, use of additives such as stearic acid, and fragrance. Due to the wax consistencies, it is common for paraffin waxes to produce vibrant colors and soy waxes to produce pastel colors.

These are AMAZING colors. Love them.Edit: However I bought a second time, my packages were mislabeled and I threw green chips into wax that was supposed to turn purple. Whole batch ruined. There goes 3lbs of wax!(Re-)Edit: They have AMAZING customer service, and within 12 hours of letting them know what happened, they gave me an amazing resolution. 10/10, would recommend. For those struggling with color, if you are working with Soy Wax, especially quality Soy with additives, except to have lighter colors than you expect. It's NOT these dye chips, it's your wax.

Colors mismarked!
They worked great with soy wax. Only issue I had was that the “lavender” and “hunter green” bags were mismarked as each other. Not the end of the world, still made beautiful candles. Excited to give these as gifts!

Easy directions.
Easy directions...some of the colors did not come out the color labeled. Put in sage green, got a baby blue.
