Dinosaurs (Collins Gem) Paperback – 1 April 2008

Was a Stocking filler for my son and he loves it. Small enough to take everywhere and lots of info and pictures to keep him occupied reading. He’ll be a palaeontologist in no time!

A nice handy pocket sized book with lots of information

私は 世界恐竜図鑑 (新潮文庫) をかなり昔に購入していましたが、同種の本として比較の意味で購入しました。構成は恐竜や化石に関する一般知識を紹介する35頁と恐竜図鑑になる136頁で恐竜1種を見開きの2頁で紹介しています。恐竜の説明はイラスト（大きさの比較対照の為、ネズミ、猫、人のいずれかのイラストが併せて描かれています）と三畳紀から白亜紀までのタイムスケール上で生存していた時期のマーキングをしたものと外観、生活様式を説明した文書で説明してくれています。　収録された恐竜は獣脚類が大型小型含めて31種、竜脚類が14種、分類の不明確なレソトサウルス、装盾亜目（剣竜、曲竜）6種、鳥脚亜目11種、周飾頭亜目（堅頭竜、角竜）5種でそれほど多くの種類が収録されている訳ではりません。小型獣脚類の羽毛化等ヒサ氏の著作と比較しても、約20年間の知見の変化が理解できるのは良いと思います。 世界恐竜図鑑 (新潮文庫)

The title of my review says everything...well almost. For more buy this 'gem' and I assure you that you won't regret. :)

This is without a doubt, a great pocket-sized book about dinos. And is also a very up-to- date book about the subject as well. It has many of my favorite dinosaurs in it, though not all. I highly recommend this.

livre anglophone broché souple format poche récent (2002) consacré aux dinosaures; après une dizaine de pages d'introduction, chaque espèce (120 en tout) est gratifiée d'une double-page avec article descriptif, fiche d'identité systématisée, carte de répartition le tout illustré d'une gravure couleur de grande taille imitant parfaitement une photo couleur; ce joli petit guide, compact, complet et bien illustré ne déparera pas, à côté d'ouvrages encyclopédiques de grand format plus exhaustifs, dans la bibliothèque de toute personne curieuse et désirant préciser ses connaissances

The book received had a damaged cover and seemed an old copy(but not used). Since this was intended as a gift, an old book was useless.
