Q: Can anyone compare this to Rub N Buff ?? Is it better ???

Gilders Paste comes in a tin and the ones I have purchased from Amazon (fulfilled by Amazon) were completely dried out and unusable. The replacements arrived open and crumbled in the box. Since Rub N Buff comes in a tube, I suspect it would not be dried out. Both products are used in the same manner.

Q: Will this stain silver solder black? I cant get it to patina using liver of sulfer, so i am hoping this will do the trick

It's basically like shoe polish, so no, it won't stain anything. It just gets into cracks and stays there to make things look antiqued.

Q: Can this be used for metal stamping - to apply after stamping the metal - so the image stands out?

Yes, this is exactly what I use it for. I stamp letters (words) into metal then use this wax to make it stand out
