The item came new and with a plastic pasted underneath the suction layer. I thought that the plastic needs to be taken off since it may serve as protection. I took off the plastic only to find out that that it helps facilitate the suction force. I went to the supermarket and purchase an item that was made with a similar material. It would have been great if the manual put a warning sign not to detach the plastic on the item.

Works well. Might take a bit of fiddling to put it on but after that you can adjust it to your liking with its orbital adjustment.Butt because of this orbital adjustability, washing the side mirrors maybe annoying because you'll have to re adjust it everything.
