Tablet…(aka ‘Scottish Fudge’ in some circles)
'TABLET' can be an acquired taste and I acquired mine, ahem…a long time ago, but Stewart's remains No. 1, for me & mine, to date. Not so easy to obtain of late, I was delighted to get this tin via Amazon the very next day, for our ‘Burn’s Night Supper’ extra treat. The 'Luxury Scottish Fudge' comes presented in a dinky little tin that measures around 9 cm square x 4 cm high. The unhinged lid opens to reveal 100g of tablet in random sized pieces that is cellophane-type wrapped. That translates to 8 pieces in my tin. However, one or two pieces is more than enough, I find!I have collected a fair number of tins across the years, too…always handy for something else when that last morsel has gone:📝 ‘Part of the STEWART’S TARTAN COLLECTION features patriotic imagery from across this magnificent country.’The tin lid picture is the awesome ‘Edinburgh Castle’.📝 ‘Once opened store in airtight container’ooOoo📝 INGREDIENTS (from the base of the tin):‘Sugar, Sweetened Condensed Milk (Milk, Skimmed Milk, Sugar), Water, Butter (Milk), Golden Syrup (Inverted Sugar Syrup), Glucose Syrup, Salt, Natural Flavouring’The ‘Best Before End Date’ is also on the base of the tin…'November 2021' on mine…absolutely NO chance.Mine will be all gone by the morn! 😊[5 images attached]

Not luxury biscuits
I considered the quality as average, not luxury. Very misleading The tin is the only redeeming factor and probably costs the greater proportion of the price.

Too small to be given as a gift
THE CONTENT IS ONLY 100GWhen I saw this, frankly I decided giving this as a gift would make me appear REALLY MEAN.I would be too ashamed to give something this minuscule to someone as a gift. The tin contents lasted approximately 5 minutes after giving to the kids, they loved the flavour.I tried a little and it was delicious, just wasn't much of it.On the positive side the tin is very pretty, but terribly smallSee photos, I have placed a 50p in the picture for scale although 100g is 100g

Great shortbreads
EXPENSIVE but Lovely Shortbread but didn’t realise it was a small tin I didn’t check it’s only 150grams for £8-49 so really not worth it!

Very expensive and not very good
It’s not clear from the photo but the box is pretty small - the total number of biscuits is 24, so around 30p per biscuit, which I reckon as being very pricey. I’d also add that the biscuits taste pretty ordinary too - the shortbread is not as good as that made and sold by the market leader. So overall, I was pretty disappointed with the purchase.

Great taste
So good but wish it wasn’t so expensive.

Rancid Short Bread!
I tried buying two different round tins of Scottish Short Breads and both tins arrived so rancid it was enough to knock you over. The first tine had an expire date of 10/19/18 and the second tin had an expire date of 04/13/19. The Cust. Rep. was definitely kind enough to refund me my money, but the fact they had product on their shelves with way out of date expires tells me they are not watching the inventory at all. I tried the Kerrygold were good and with a good date. The Shortbread House of Edinburgh's original recipe of shortbread fingers (pack of 2) were also very good and dates were good. I would definitely not recommend buying the large round tins.

All broken and cannot even get a refund
When you spend ten bucks for some biscuits it’s one thing to find one or two broken. It’s another to find them all busted. Not to mention their is no return or refund policy to help you out. Enjoy crumbs in your tea!

Ok but not what I expected.
Probably would not order these again. Too prepackaged for us.
