I have to be honest, myself or my wife had never heard of 'infrared' hair straighteners but I know one thing for sure, my wife is certainly glad we discovered them now - they heat up so fast, they straighten your hair very easily and quickly and my wife says that they are the best straighteners she has ever owned, and she's owned an awful lot over the years!There's a couple of things that my wife wants me to say, or warn you about - make sure you read the instructions carefully as you can damage your hair if you get it wrong, also, straighten your hair when it's dry and keep a check on the temperature (which is shown via an LED screen) - otherwise go ahead and enjoy the speed and efficiency of these super straighteners, she loves them and now straightens her hair in no time at all!They also come with a heat resistant mat for placing them on which is a nice touch, the box that they came in is very smart and attractive which is fabulous if they are intended as a gift for someone, the power lead is nice and long too so you can reach your mirror easily (unless it's miles away) another great thing about these is the damage limitation using them, the 'normal' straighteners are known for damaging hair as you can't control the temperature, not with these, you're totally in control so much less chance of hair damage!All in all these are very good quality, a great price too compared with most straighteners out there so if you're looking for new ones, go for these, you won't be disappointed, hence the 5 stars! *****

I'd heard of these "infrared" flat irons a while back but at that time they were a lot more costly and if you check out the prices you can still pay quite a lot for them, but they're starting to become much more affordable and that's the case with this pair.These are a vast improvement on my old straighteners. They heat up in seconds and you can control the exact heat you want them at, my old set had hot and hotter and that was it lol. Not sure how long it takes for them to cool down but once you've finished with them you just unplug them and wrap them up in the heat proof storage roll you get with them.The reason I wanted a pair of these type of straighteners is that my hair is old, thin, frizzy and prone to snapping and anything which can help it to look good but not be damage is what I need. These like all heat treatments aren't 100% damage free but with the proper heat protecting product in my hair and these I can at least reduce the damage. I used the recommended setting for my hair and even at that low setting, all it took was a couple of swipes to smooth out the frizz. The cord is attached with a swivel joint and there is a velcro tape to keep the wires together but best of all this is a pretty light set. To me, it's almost as light as travel set but because it's a plug in it has the power to do a good job.Sorry, no pictures of my hair before and after, my pictures turned up out to be complete rubbish and didn't do this product justice..

Great set of straighteners, really nice qualityI bought these for my sisters birthday and she's very happy with them.They heat up quickly, display the current temperature and the temperature can be adjusted via buttons on the handle.They look and feel well made.Really pleased.

Very happy with these hair straighteners. They get really hot very quickly and easy to adjust the temperature. They come with a great heat proof mat to lie them on which is a great idea, which also acts as a bag to wrap the straighteners in and keep them safe. Bought these for my daughter who's been using my wife's but wanted her own. We set them at 180 which is extremely hot enough to quickly straighten her hair with ease and can go much higher. The speed in which these heat up is incredible. I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.
