This camera is TOTAL garbage
This camera is junk!! It only recorded 1 video trying to get it to work when it was not in the water. It is VERY HARD to use. The buttons do NOT work properly. It has gone in the trash which is what it is.

Does what it’s built to do.
It works. Does what it says it does. A bit of a hassle as far as not being able to see live video feed. It’s not something designed for cast and retrieve. Works well for trolling, have had good success capturing lake trout bites. Also works well fished as a bobber. But if you intend on tying a lure and making multiple cast retrieves, forget it. All in all it functions and though it’s limited; it has performed well. Built well and can take a beating.

Looks good, will see on actual use.
After reading other reviews and seeing the line clips that came with it, I also replaced the main line clip with one a lot sturdier, and even the bait line clip with one less likely to accidentally release.Lubricating the o-rings immediately also helped allow the case to be more easily installed and removed. I also recommend leaving the case partially unscrewed while stored to allow the o-rings to stay decompressed until next use. Will be trying it out once I get new 32gb memory for it. I will want to always have a 2nd one handy on the yak. I have a USB adapter for my phone that will allow me to quickly view and delete bad clips and make space on the memory card if needed.

Not good enough
So this does work, but there's too many issues to make it worthwhile for my type of fishing - trolling. I think it could be good for stationary fishing like ice fishing. The problems are that it's too big, not stable, and the line gets in the way of the camera. This thing cannot be cast except maybe underhand from a dock for 10' - it's way too big. I thought it was going to be smaller. It's like a 6" section of smoked sausage but weighs twice as much. There is no "up" so it's completely random how the camera orients itself. As you see in my photo the fish was "upside down". There appears to be no way to adjust this. The line attaches at the same point as the camera and it comes with a swivel which if you use, gets prime real estate in the footage. Water quality is definitely an issue but I could overlook that if everything else worked. The unit itself will sink if just dropped into the water, but if you're trolling it's positively buoyant so the line won't sink, even a weighted line. This really limits the type of fishing you do. So overall the thing works, but there are so many limitations it wasn't a good solution to me. I might look into the much more expensive alternative which is smaller, mounts to the line but "hangs down" which will provide orientation and keep the line out of the camera.
