Works really well; clip is also effective and useful. But have taken note from other reviews that the dial is not waterproof and so I do not submerge it or get the dial wet instead just rinsing the probe and wiping the dial with a damp cloth.The red marker marks 60 degrees with is good for me since i used it to steam milk for coffees. Hotter than this and the milk proteins denature and the milk changes texture. Lovely item. Good price.

Over the past few years the rise of the coffee shop has swept the nation and I and my husband have enjoyed our Lattes and Cappuccinos just as much as everyone else. So when I discovered I could buy the Latte glasses, a milk frother and a milk thermometer I was delighted, we could finally make our own coffee shop style coffee at home. So ok, it's not quite the same as the machines they have at their disposal but it is essential to have the thermometer to get the milk at the right temperature to be frothed! A much cheaper alternative to an all singing all dancing coffee machine!

It says BBQ, but it only goes up to 80C. Also, it is EXTREMELY short... so you must likely can't use the holder. And lastly, there's a warning saying it has failed EU safety criteria... so use at your own risk

Bought this recently as my husband bought me a bean to cup coffee machine, although the coffee was great it was never hot enough and I realised I couldn't gauge the temp of the milk. Now with the easy to read probe I just get the needle to red and wow hot coffee at the right sweet milk. Would recommend and the price very good :))

Brilliant little thing. Does exactly what its meant to do.Enables you to make perfect coffee without burning the beans. Recommended.

Handy little tool. Only complaints are that I waited forever for it to arrive and temps are hard to read. Degree increments are in four's. Price is right, though. Clips nicely to saucepan for preparing milk for yogurt making.
