Beautiful results - HOW TO DO IT!
This is a very finely detailed mold, and it makes beautiful pieces, either with chocolate or with fondant. I Love the fact that it is nice and stable, not hollow in the back, like some forms (be careful of hollow molds, because they will completely warp and won't mold your shape well). I would definitely buy these again if we need more.When removing your fondant or chocolate from this mold, place it in the freezer first for 10-15 minutes to allow it to firm up first. Flip the mold over, so your fondant/chocolate is now face-down on the table. Then **very carefully** peel the mold up and away from the fondant/chocolate, NOT the other way around. The mold will bend, your food item will not, so go slowly and patiently. Allow yourself plenty of time to do this, because you WILL have breakages. You can also dust the mold with cornstarch very lightly beforehand, but this is not something that I like to do, because it can discolor the fondant a little (don't do this for chocolate).What I did a few times was deliberately break a few pieces off each, so they all look slightly different - not only do people not know what's broken, you don't have a series of uniform, cookie-cutter items, so they look extra custom.
