This book delivered a huge amount of information that I was unaware of. As an older American, I feel I have been learning about the important history of Africa that I've not been exposed to before. It's a sad document about the horrors of slavery and the never ending greed that fueled the colonization of Africa by foreign governments.

Good source
I had to buy this for an African history class and while I wish they had done a original translation and a modern english version of some of the documents (like those old english and modern english shakespeare books), the book is a great source of rpimary documents. It's good for beginning research, give great insight into life in Africa, and it's generally an easy read.

Great Book
I have not had time to read it yet, but I have read some passages and read through it. I am glad to add it to my library and cannot wait to read it in its totality.
