Self-Powered Wireless Doorbell, Cordless Plug in Door Bells with 2 Receivers, IP44 Waterproof Door Chime Bell, No Battery Required (Black)

Only just fitted this but have to say from opening box to up and running took no longer than 5 mins. Plug in receiver (there are 2 supplied but I only need 1). Select ringtone (button on bottom right of receiver). I understand there are 45 to choose from but after about 3 I decided the "Big Ben" one was for me (the Fur Elise one is all very nice but just goes on to long for a doorbell). Select Volume level, 4 levels. (button on bottom left of receiver)..and that's the receiver done. Tested it by pushing the doorbell, all good. The transmitter (doorbell) has 2 fix options, screws or double-sided adhesive tape. I have a porch which has an upper PVC frame where the bell would sit so chose the tape option. Seems to have strong adhesive so fixed well. Tested it with both doors closed for signal strength, not a problem, although I should add my receiver is only about 8 feet from the bell although it's supposed to have a range up to 500 feet! And that's it...up and running. One last thing I will add is that it does advise not to put doorbell in extreme sunlight. My housefront gets full sun during the morning so effectively I don't have a choice so can only see if it still operates after a full spring/summer.

This door chime worked straight out of the box and best of all does not need batteries. It was very easy to install. I would recommend it so far.

I purchased this set on the 15th December 2021 and live in Cumbria, in the North West of England. The price was excellent and the installation was a breeze. Each of the receivers (with UK plugs) have a tone selection button and a volume button - both super easy to use. The blue, round circle on the receiver lights up when the doorbell is pressed. There is also a small blue light on the doorbell, but this is only really visible if there is no strong sunlight on it. My little cottage has very thick walls and the first receiver is approx. 20 feet from the doorbell, I also have a porch door which is closed all day. The second receiver is in my kitchen, which is about 40 feet from the doorbell and it too has no problem picking up the signal. The weather up here is very varied and this doorbell has been through its paces in the past 9 months. I have had the typical battery doorbell before, which didn't last long at all and rusted inside. This one seems to be standing the test of time and I am very pleased, especially for what it cost.

Bought a previous doorbell, which I thought was meant to be a good one, turned out to be a load of rubbish got this one instead, because it said it didn’t need batteries at all. Just used your electricity and it is only used when activated works every time without fail.

It's been two years and 3 months since I ordered this item. I can clearly say that it hasn't disappointed. It works as it should be, although I've had a couple of "false alarms" when the ring would go off without anyone at the door. I observed this is likely due to cold weather. Apart from this, it has served its purpose and an absolute value for money...
