Interesting and diverse
I heard that Fandom Unbound was an interesting book before acquiring it but once I bought it I realized how true that statement was.... it not only has essays on different topics regarding fandom but also covers up topics, such as cosplay, that are hard to find... I used it as base material on my graduation thesis and thanks to it I discovered some points of view that I hadn't thought of before... I highly recommend it

Nevertheless it is quite fun and interesting to read
This is a very well written book by a genius of a scholar in Mizuko Ito. She is an anthropologist so you can tell that she hasn't written many books. Nevertheless it is quite fun and interesting to read. I used several chapters from this book to help me write my thesis for my Senior Seminar class. The book is heavy with the author's analysis and she uses different methods such as interviews, and visual aid charts to make her point really stick. This book is an excellent source for any topics regarding manga, anime, or video game culture. I would defiantly recommend this very practical book.

Great read
This book was used as a textbook in my Japanese Culture class in University. I liked the chapters and was easily able to understand it for class exams and papers.
