Went for the cheapest I found with this cutter. Used to flush trim 3/4" white oak with a hand held router. Only did about 50 linear feet, but so far so good. No chip out and a good finish. Bought mainly for the router table, I expect it'll be great for patterns.

Has worked great on white oak, cherry and red elm so far. Capable of very clean cuts.

I cut lots of small items from templates using my router table, this bit really improved the results. The 1/4" spiral bit I was using did well, but struggled with hardwood endgrain. This bit is dead smooth through all different grain and has never grabbed or chipped out. Can't compare it to one of the more expensive versions of the same thing, but at this price I don't know why I would buy one of the name brand items.

So I will admit that this is my first compression bit, but it seems very high quality and cuts very cleanly. Would recommend.
