Thorough and professional book
This is a very strong introduction to whitework with the usual RSN focus on doing everything properly and thoroughly (I am obviously not going to do that...). It has quite a strong focus on pulled thread work and drawn thread work rather than surface stitchery, so it's not quite right for me at the moment, as I'm working on twill, but I will no doubt be using it for a future project. The approach is very explanatory (ie: reasons are given for why you should do things) and some of the examples shown are beyond belief gorgeous, especially the peacock.

Really useful
This is the best whitework 'tutorial' book that I have come across.Being spiral bound it lays flat for easy reference during the course of work. Lizzie Lansberry gives very clear instructions on a host of whitework techniques even going into details about the order in which work should be completed , an invaluable inclusion. She deals with pulled thread stitches showing how the fabric should be prepared, surface stitches, eyelets, drawn thread work and the stitches to decorate the drawn thread border and cutwork. She concludes with a section on how to incorporate the various techniques in designs using her own as examples. She even includes a section on how to clean and store the finished work. The book contains wonderfully clear instructions on the various stitches and techniques with step by step photographs and diagrams.I have other books on Whitework but this is by far and away the best of them. I refer to it over and over again.

A good all rounder
One of the better books in the series. Comprehensive instructions on various whitework techniques with good illustrations. I think this book would be a good aide memoire to anyone who has attended a whitework class and has seen the stitches demonstrated at first hand but still a useful book for anyone who has not. You do not get such a good idea of the size of the stitches from a book but nevertheless for anyone serious about whitework, this is certainly the book for you.

Up to ususal RSN standard
Bought as a gift and the recipient says it's excellent. Well laid out with clear text and diagrams on the various techniques. Well up to the usual RSN standard and you can be sure that what you are shown is technically correct and gives you an excellent foundation from which to work from.

Whitework
It's a lovely book with quite enlighting explanations and beautiful, clear examples. I admire the possibilities that a simple needle a white thread and a piece of white fabric can give to your creativity and imagination. That's what I thought about while folding the pages of this book.
